dad said come back home, so that's exactly what silas did. that's what he did every time his father called to say he had another errand for him, be it something as simple as stealing livestock or killing a man. what his father wanted, his father got, and it was all thanks to silas. shit, he'd probably do it even if it wasn't asked of him. he just liked the violence of it all. late in the afternoon, texan sun blazing high, he had been walking around the property when he noticed someone approaching. lowering his sunglasses down his nose, he gave them a sardonic smirk, "this is not the kind of ranch you want to stumble across. i can promise you that."
