#if you're coming from rain world and looking for thematic parallels i'd recommend starting w/ ulysses dies at dawn btw#while it's not my favorite musically (i still like it it's just less my vibe) it's the most similar to rain world thematically#we've got death in a deathless world. the expansion of technology at the cost of. uh. everything else. biomechanical abominations.#and also like. it's just really fucking cool. greek mythology but scifi and deeply fucked up#in general however i'd recommend starting with once upon a time (in space) or high noon over camelot#(their first album and the one that rots my brain the most respectively)#spire rambles
