monsters vaguely resembling reanimated corpses called REVENANTS have been spotted IN NOYILLAI. as if appearing for backup to the mogalls, they come in hordes later in the battle, enclosing on both lotus hall and the areas around it during the final day of the lotus festival. this traveling in packs is partially to make up for their weakness. they move slowly, generally giving fighters paying attention time to run or avoid their attacks. they are durable, however, and hard to down, so it’s important not to get too confident. even the weak have power in numbers, after all. they fight with DANGEROUS CLAWS, and despite their apparent individual weakness, it’s recommended characters LEVEL THREE OR ABOVE take them and their 30 HP on.

as if matters couldn’t get worse, sentient skeletons called BONEWALKERS have joined the fray IN NOYILLAI. they, too, appear later in the battle in large groups, both in areas all over noyillai and lotus hall itself. like revenants, this traveling in packs is partially to make up for their weakness. unlike their corpse-resembling counterparts, however, they are far faster, able to dodge at nearly the speed of a regular human where many other monsters are quite sluggish. they are physically weak, however, and despite their speed, are seemingly unskilled with their IRON SWORDS, and have a tendency to have inaccurate, weak attacks. while not the strongest enemy fights have probably faced, just like revenants, their true strength comes in the numbers the usually travel in. it’s recommended characters LEVEL THREE OR ABOVE take them and their 21 HP on.
OOC NOTE: it’s time for another enemy encounter!
these encounters are essentially a mini event. your role here is to write as much (or little) about encountering the monsters in this post as you'd like. this can include your character defending innocent civilians in lotus hall’s ballroom, to working together with a new ally to defeat a monster (or multiple), to trying to run away from them themselves. there are plenty of possibilities, and given terrible monsters are cropping up all across noyillai, you are not only limited to threads taking place at or close to lotus hall. you may also receive submits from this blog related to revenants during this time, where an official battle may take place.
in order to potentially receive submits, however, you must like this post. by doing so, you give the main permission to have both revenants and bonewalkers run wild related to your muse, whether in their submit box or relevant threads. it’s important to keep in mind that given official battles can be unpredictable, your character may be injured as well, perhaps severely. choose carefully, and even if you liked the mogall post, you must like this post for potential interactions with the other monsters as well.
by writing about your character's encounter(s) with monsters during the given time period, you will level up. we won't reveal your levels until after the enemy encounter's time period ends, but the more you write, the more levels you'll gain. both threads and solos will count, but note that threads will net you more experience, which leads to more leveling up. although it’s recommended those fighting these monsters be level three or above, this does not mean lower level characters cannot fight them. they’ll just likely have a bit more trouble than their higher level counterparts!
this enemy encounter lasts until NOVEMBER 1ST, 11:59 PM EST, just like the mogall attack. you are free (and encouraged) to write about all three types of monsters during this time. please tag all posts related to this enemy encounter as #uf:lotusenemy as well, and note that after the time period for this enemy encounter ends, the monster threat may not be entirely dealt with. you may encounter them again later. you can continue all threads after the event ends; you just won't level up from doing so like you will during this time period.
you will also submit everything you write about all lotus festival enemy encounters to the points blog by the end of NOVEMBER 2ND EST.
submit the following form:
TITLE: MUSE NAME: LOTUS ENEMY
[ link to your uf:lotusenemy tag ] [ link to your status page ]
this is the only form you need to submit for this event, no matter what lotus festival enemies you write about. just make sure you tag everything with #uf:lotusenemy.
if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact the main!
