Ermano & David - Thought You Were Gone

-Renee had come to him with the good news, as well as Ermano's request to see him. As relieved as he was that Ermano was okay, he was nervous about seeing him. Still, he headed to the clinic and stepped in, his hands in his pockets- Figures you would wake up when Addie wasn't in the room.

-ermano had been silently working on his own physical therapy while renee was out. like always, he couldn't just sit/lay around and do nothing - even with the handful of books provided. ermano stood on his good leg, moving the other any way he could to get used to the throbbing pain when the door opened. naturally he thought it would either be renee or adrianna; seeing david let out a soft sigh of relief- Yeah well, I was waiting for you but you took to damn long. -ermano provided a friendly smile, beckoning for david to come closer for a hug- I can already see you're beating yourself up over this. Stop it. I'm obviously okay.

David Alexander

-David was not at all surprised that Ermano was trying to move. They were a lot alike and David knew he would be doing the same thing if he were in Ermano's position. He steps in further at Ermano's beckoning- Easier said than done, bud. I've had two weeks to think of all the what ifs. How are ya feeling?

-when david got close enough, ermano wrapped his arms around him, giving david's back a pat- Good as new. -he lied, taking a small step back- It'll take some time to get back to how I was, but I'll make it. He didn't want to hit something- Yeah, well, you look like shit. -he lets go and stuffs his hands back into his pockets- Well, Doc was pretty pissed about us going out so I'm sure that time will be doubled before you do anything. -although something told him he already heard it from Renee- I understand, but damn, man, seeing you fall like that... -he shook his head- I wouldn't have forgiven myself if ya hadn't made it.

Yeah, she chewed me out pretty bad. Not as bad as she could've; my saving grace was this. -ermano pointed to his injuries- I know, man. I'm sorry. I just couldn't allow both of us to fall. I'm pretty sure Ike wouldn't have made it without both his favorite people around. Who else was he going to annoy? -he smirked, hoping a bit of humor would liven up the tension in the room-

-David raised his brow and hummed a soft ahhh as he nodded- Well, at least that's already out of the way. -he knew Ermano couldn't let it happen and wouldn't, but it still didn't mean that he liked it- I'm sure Ike would find someone new to pester and prod without us being around. He's a very adaptable guy. -he does chuckle under his breath- Have you seen Addie yet?

-suddenly feeling exhausted, ermano leaned back against the bed, carefully lowering himself onto it to rest- Nah, I think he'd miss us ever so dearly. -he chuckled then shook his head- Not yet. I wanted to see you first and make sure you weren't beating yourself up too bad before seeing her. I know you too well.

David Alexander

-as he notices how Ermano leans back, David steps forward and helps him ease himself down onto it. Maybe Ermano didn't need his help but after what happened, David felt like he needed to be a bit extra helpful just to make sure things didn't get worse- As flattered as I am, that only will fuel Ike's conspiracy that we're secretly dating and I ain't trying to step on your girl's toes. -he is, of course, joking- 'Mano, if ya know me so well, you'll know that no matter what you say I'm gonna feel bad about it until I'm the one in the ground. And I know if the roles were reversed, you would be too.

Ermano Delgado

-he chuckled at david's joke - though they both knew it wasn't so much a joke but a theory. when his laughter subsided, ermano nodded- Yeah, I know, bud. But can you at least find solace in the fact that I'm alive and you helped me get there?

David Alexander

-David felt a lot better hearing Ermano laugh and he even chuckled with him. If there was anything that could make him feel a bit better, it was seeing Ermano laughing and talking with him right now- Yeah, I think I can live with that. -he claps a gentle hand on his shoulder- I'm glad to have you back, brother.

Ermano Delgado

-ermano nodded- Glad to be back. Now. -his demeanor changed, getting serious- What have I missed?

David Alexander

-David sighed as he stood back and put his hands into his pockets- A lot. Lucien got shot visiting Ike. He's okay. We got another new resident. He's Clint's older brother but I'll let Renee tell you about that. Also Cole's gone. He got bit by a Walker while he and the doc were out reinforcing the wall. And then there's the ranch. That might be something you want to talk to Ike about. He and Zack set that up. All I know is we sent out a bunch of people to lure the Daybreakers to them and protect Redwood.

-ermano's brows rose and eyes widened as david continued giving the low down on what had happened during his slumber- Well, fuck. -he breathed, running a hand down his face- I guess I missed a lot. Shit, Cole's gone? I was just starting to like him. Lucien was shot by what?

-David nodded- Yeah. Feel bad for his kid. It was Fleet who put him down after he changed. Sounds like he got shot by an arrow. Not sure who shot it or why but I'm not at all pleased there's someone shooting bolts near Redwood.

Ermano Delgado

Damn. -ermano made a mental note to check on fleet when he had the chance- Nah, security obviously needs to be pumped up but obviously I can't do much when I'm like this. Or when there are people stationed elsewhere. -ermano really didn't like the sound of that- How's Sol doing, too? Ya know, with Cole gone.

David Alexander

Yeah. I don't mind helping out with security while you're out. Might not be able to hunt but I can patrol. Just give me a target. -he shrugged- Honestly, no idea, but probably not good. I haven't seen much of him. He was part of the group that went out to the ranch. Fleet too. I think maybe getting away from here will do good for them.

Ermano Delgado

-ermano nodded in agreement- Yeah, probably good for them to get away for a bit. -an idea popped in his head- Oh, you taught Mayra how to shoot a bow. Why not take her with you to hunt? Oh shit - wait. She's vegan. Nevermind. What about the Priest?

David Alexander

-David laughed as he shook his head- I'm taking Jake out but yeah, I could check with the Father, although I don't think Ike is gonna let that out. The townies are restricted from going out, even if they have an escort. Too much worry about everything. But yeah, I'm not asking Mayra to go huntin' with me. I felt bad after she cooked me up a deer steak.

Ahhhhh....-David scratched the back of his neck- Roxy fetched her because I wasn't doing well with...-he pauses as he motions to Ermano asn answer- So she came to check up on me and try to make me feel better.

Mmmm. -ermano nodded, keeping his eye on david, seeing the redness creep in his cheeks- And from what I know about Mayra, her way of making people feel better .... Did you get a taste of more than just steak?
