idk what is going on it but the past few days I've had the terrible urge to built a system of connected bin cages and furnish them with the cutest, most enriching (mostly also self made) toys for fancy mice and ultimately keep fancy mice

#it seems like such a nice project I'd enjoy #don't have much time or space for smth like that rn tho #I'd actually prefer rats but you can't really dyi enclosures for them since they can and will chew through everything but metal #I know the ones I had as a teenager did and the cage I want for my future potential rats is gigantic...#it would fit in my appartment but I'd need to rearrange also super expensive obv #also mice want less human interaction and are generally happy with a well equipped enclosure #they're lower maintenance which would fit my tight schedule atm better
