working with other people full-time is so weird. like i see these guys more than i see anybody else in my life and i feel like i know so much about them and ultimately it feels quite intimate to know e.g. how someone hums when they're thinking hard and yet it's all a facade because we do not hang out outside of work and i will never see them being themselves in another environment

#i guess it feels particularly weird because this is a family business and i am the non family member #and they are all the time discussing crazy things that i definitely should not know about my coworkers and their extended families #also my direct boss and i understand each other unbelievably well it was the sort of immediate click i've only experienced once before as a #adult and the last time i promptly fell in love with the other person but my boss is. well my boss #so to the extent that i have a preexisting framework for dealing with the emotional ramifications of that click it's not ideal #anyway.#it's 11pm on a friday and i'm ruminating. what's everyone up to this weekend #rare pic of me in the wild
