When Frieren said the time we have matters. It's not too late. No love however brief is wasted. We love what we love because of who we love. Life is worth living when we spend it with one another. Love is being proud of each other. Love is bearing with each other. Love is keeping your promises. Love is cherishing their memory. Love is meeting them where they are. Love is going after them. Love is outgrowing yourself to become the person they need you to be. Love is letting them show you the way.

#this show DOES THINGS TO ME #you don't understand #it's the way Frieren learns about Fern in the blue moon flowers episode and takes Fern's needs into account for the rest of the show #like when she tells Eisen she can't search for forever for the big tree and Eisen is like. you've changed #it's the way Fern grows from not understanding and almost disliking Frieren's magic collecting tendencies #to telling Sense in the final arc as she watches Frieren gush over magic junk that it makes her happy to see Frieren like that #it's how Frieren gets fern a birthday gift and is like 'idk what you like though'#and then in the next episode realizes that a sunrise is just a sunrise until she sees it with someone who's important to her.#like a hair piece is just a hair piece until it comes from someone who's important to you #Frieren grows up in this show. like so much #it's Himmel and Heiter and Eisen and Fern and Sein and Stark and a host of side characters who teach her how to show she cares #idk I'm incoherent about this show it just deeply Gets To Me every time #it's Frieren and Fern going from not understanding one another to having utter complete and absolute trust in one another #both from an abilities standpoint and their love and attachment to each other #and it's Frieren slowly SLOWLY reevaluating her relationship with Himmel and realizing what she meant to him and what he means to her #as well as everything she learned from him. everything she owes him #i just-
