termoprotective hair mist (summer only)

sunglasses (all year)

a flat pack of facemasks

sanitizing wipes

tiny sewing kit

corn plaster pack (lifesaving!)

earplugs

chewing gum

tiny resuscitation kit with single-use gloves and a mouthpiece

medicine for: pain, stomach problems, sore throat, migraine (for my wife) and my own blood pressure pills

chapstick

keys

Notably, no phone, I prefer to keep it in my jeans pocket.

I swear this backpack is bigger on the inside, all this stuff and it's still half-empty, I can fit an additional raincoat in there and still have space for some snacks. It's my fave hiking backpack, but I take it everywhere.

@ people who carry bags everywhere what do you put in them what is there to bring other than chapstick, keys, phone and maybe a tampon why are you packing a suitcase to be outside for 5 hours
