#me reading two pages of cleanness and being like wait i need to read lover boy prose. i love me #i love how lover boy is partly a love letter to the prose writers that inspire me atm #it's only recently that i've felt like i can emulate and take inspiration from writers i admire and their styles in a way that feels like #a collaboration with my own style #like i didnt really know how to build on styles and ideas that resonated with me before #id read writers and love their prose and not know what to do with that #tbf i dont think this is necessarily a garth greenwell core line it just stood out to me i forgot i wrote it #also this line is very nice very gentle but the funny part is beau takes it into a rant on how he wants urgent desperate yearning and #not delicacy LOL
