tfw someone randomly like an old post of yours and you get emo over it all over again
#esoteric tfw#it's really sad to me that couchsurfing is behind a paywall now#it just completely defeats the purpose#so that's one emotion and then the other is just the fact that my host in zuidland trusted me that much#that i just had his apartment to myself#while he was out on the road#and then when he unexpectedly had time to come home#he made me dinner#just some 20-something american stranger#and then i think of the volunteers at tiengemeten who let me into the closed museum and then gave me a ride partway home#that part of the netherlands was above and beyond on the kindness to strangers at least for me#and the guy in helmond also gave me a ride to amsterdam which#he was going anyway but he didn't have to drive me
