Wow, okay. Even if I hadn't known about Avatrice from tumblr, Ava's vibes with the women are impeccable. Four episodes in and her thing with J.C. is.... fine, i guess. But I swear she has more chemistry with Chanel, and they've had, what, two scenes together at this point?

#she's bonding with chanel over expressing themselves #she's got that rivals tension with lilith #and we've already started to see the seeds of budding mutual respect and trust with bea #and then j.c. is just. there #i think the problem is they're not building any kind of friendship with j.c.#imo all the best ships are either a foundation of friendship that becomes something more #or else an enemies-to-lovers situation where mutual respect is earned along the way #j.c. is obviously not enemies to lovers material and i don't really buy a friendship outside of the romantic interest #therefore it's just. less solid overall #which i suppose is the point since it seems like they were planning for avatrice from the beginning #j.c. seems to mostly be functioning as a plot beat for Ava's journey #a way for her to stumble and learn a little before she's ready for something serious #though to be fair he could have been a lot worse. standard male love interests over the years have been a lot worse #warrior nun #avatrice #ava silva #warrior nun spoilers
