a/n: just feeling fluffy! i love writing fluff, and i don’t want people to just think i write smut yk?? so i felt inspired! enjoy this little ditty!

“What in the absolute bloody hell is that?”

“Baby, that’s base coat.”

“Well, don’t get it on my bass...coat...that was bad wasn’t it?”

“Yes, it was awful, and never do that again.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

You shook your head and chuckled to yourself, cradling Fred’s hand in yours. He hadn’t actually whined or complained nearly as much as you had thought. Fred wasn’t nearly as angry at the idea of getting his nails done as much as he was confused about the process.

And, in Fred fashion, he always had questions and criticisms in tow:

“Okay, I like this oil. Feels very nice.”

“Yes but do you need a top coat? I’m sure spit can do the trick!” (“No, Fred, it doesn’t work like that,”) “We’re wizards of course it can!”

So here you were, in Ginny’s room at midnight, gently painting on the base coat to his bare nails. He smiled softly to himself at the domestic feeling this action had, thinking about how adorable you looked as you furrowed your brow. Your concentration was evident, he could tell how much this meant to you.

“Angel?” He asked quietly, a grin breaking on his face.

“Yes, Freddie?” You looked up to meet his whiskey brown irises.

He bit his lip and leaned forward to kiss your nose, gently pressing his forehead to yours and reveling in the happy hum you made at the action.

“You like making me your pretty boy?” He quipped.

“You’re always my pretty boy, Frederick, and don’t you forget it,” you closed the distance between the two of you, your mouths meeting in a slow and deep kiss. He loved kissing you, he swore he could do it until the end of time, your mouth moving with his, his hand now sliding to behind your head-

“Ah ah ah,” you cooed, gently pushing him off you. He threw his head back and groaned.

“Ugh, but why,”

“Because I haven’t finished painting your fingies, dumbass” you chuckled, dipping your paint brush into the ballet pink bottle and gingerly swiping it onto the redhead’s index.

“Wouldn’t you rather have them somewhere else, darling?”

“Like up your ass? Seems a bit cramped up there if you ask me.” You shot back, chuckling at his languid eye roll.

“You’re denying me of primal pleasures, Madame.”

“And you’re denying me of patience and a pretty boy, so hush up and let me finish.” You winked at him and leaned by his ear. “And if you’re a good pretty boy, you may get a treat.”You smirked and kissed behind his ear, relishing in the small whine that came from the back of his throat before pulling back completely.

“You cruel temptress of a woman,” he gritted, silently counting down the remainder of nails before he could finish what you two had started. The time seemed to go as slowly as possible as he watched you give him the color, his eyes glazing over how nimbly your fingers moved across your hands.

The top coat seemed to come and go, and by the time his nails dried, he had already zoomed to the mirror in Gin’s room, his eyes fixated on his new color.

“So. Whaddya think, pretty boy?” You folded your arms on his chest, watching him study his new look.

“I...” he turned to face you. “I love this so much. I love,” he swallowed, “I love you so much.”

“I love...I...I love you, Freddie,” you breathed out. With not a second to lose he broke out in a giggle, speeding back to you and swooping you up in his arms, mouth meshing messily with yours through laughter and chaotic kisses.

“Godric, say it again,” he let out, a watery laugh on your throat.

“I love you, Frederick Gideon Weasley, fourth child of Molly and Art-“ you stopped, his mouth finding yours again, hooking your thighs around his waist.

“Let’s see what these lovely fingers can do for you, huh, pretty girl?”
