On a much lighter note, I also got an idea for the playable Sniper Joe.

Basically, Wily really should've been more specific on the definition of beating Mega Man. Joe is from a universe where Blues' core never had the fault it did in canon, so the military demonstration went off without a hitch and the original plan to give the Joe units Robot Master-level AIs was approved. As a result they became an elite peacekeeping task force, gradually expanding into other branches like search & rescue and various kinds of disaster relief thanks to their various different Models equipped for different environments and situations.

The playable Sniper Joe in particular was the leader of the squad that stopped their version of Dr. Wily's first invasion with Dr. Light's six stolen Robot Masters, thus technically "defeating" Mega Man by making it so Rock never had to become him in the first place. As you can imagine, suddenly getting transported into a Wily fortress with the mad doctor ranting about how Joe was going to help him finally destroy that blue menace and claim what was rightfully his once and for all did not go well.

For Wily, that is.
