Being online recently has just been like there's a constant siren right in front of your face blaring 'TRANS ACCEPTANCE IS NOT THE NORM' :|
#like i actually managed to curate my Experience enough that i only saw like. bare minumum of transphobic shit#and then recently there's just been SO MUCH that you just. can't ignore it#kind of a harrowing reminder that a Lot of cis ppl (even the nice ones) just don't give a fuck about trans rights#they're not affected by it so they can make excuses about supporting ppl like jkr because 'im listening to trans voices!!'#sorry for the slight ramble it's just reached a bit of a breaking point bc of the recent stuff#+ i did a bit of refelection and almost EVERY person in my life (non trans/ queer) that had said something abt trans rights#had ALSO said some/ multiple things about 'oh harry potter is great!! everyone loves harry potter and jkr it's so great!!'#and ik it's not that big of an issue but it's a bit isolating#knowing that ppl are fine supporting someone like that who rallies against an entire peoples' existence
