The Baybee Saga

hi, i dont ever ever post here on tumblr, usually because i don’t find the motivation to. however, i do think that what im posting rn is interesting and im hoping some people out there may have had a similar experience.

everything im about to post is copied and pasted directly out of the google doc i created as a way to organize and summarize events (and is also why suddenly my typing style is completely different hvdhg).

here goes (all of the wack shit under the cut):

This intro is for those who aren’t in this server. Hi, my name is Sly, and I’m one of the mods for the l0s3rs club Discord server, a server dedicated to the story of It, a novel written by Stephen King with a 1990 TV miniseries adaptation and two blockbuster horror films coming out in 2017 and 2019. The server is fairly new, as it was created about a week ago from writing this (September 18th, 2019). It’s also relatively small with a handful of fairly active members. For context for the following events, we had a mod named Kait that left so she could focus on her life.That’s a bit of an important detail. I’m not very organized, so I apologize if this retelling of events is scattered and not the best written.

9/18/19, 4:24 CST

User @baybee#9485 joins the server and does not speak or make an intro immediately.

9/18/19, at around 5:16 pm CST

Baybee says one word, and is just “kait”. They deleted the message before i could screenshot.

Everyone promptly freaks the fuck out.

9/18/19, at around

After everyone has been discussing Baybee for a bit, they come back and say “kait” once again, causing everyone to go feral again.

9/18/19, 5:39 pm CST

After discussing and pleading for Baybee to comeback, they reply with “baybee?”.

From there, they started sending small, short messages in the server, usually in response to something one of the members of the chat, like in the following screenshots that I, Sly, cropped a bit. There’s no missing context to any of the random messages, aside from the ones where I asked them questions. Of course, we all asked them questions, but didn’t answer much.

It’s important for the members of servers to make intros, so as mod I politely asked them to make an intro in the intro channel. They responded with something that sounded quite cryptic, human.

After their response of just “you know enough,” I asked them another question.

As the other members and I talked more about Baybee and how they said Kait’s name, they said the name of another one of our mods, Sara. We are all a tad bit spooked.

Five minutes later and Baybee writes an intro stating that they are bot. However, if we look at their previous behavior, one can tell that they most definitely are not a bot.

After Kait’s return after hearing about this, we were all confused as hell, and Baybee just says this in the main chat.

Baybee then sends this in the chat.

Of course, people then joke about telling Baybee to leave, and nothing happened after that. Baybee left the server without anyone saying the statement for it to “terminate” (which I guess just means leave)

has anyone here ever encountered something like this? my current thoughts is that it’s an attempt at an arg, but theres always the possibility someone was just trying to mess with us. any help is appreciated.
