i've binge read chapters 1-6 of Larissa's Gloomy Summer in preparation for the next new chapter, you have singlehandedly turned me into a Gomez/Morticia/Larissa shipper and i have no regrets

like, when she was stressing about the budget and Gomez was like "lmao no biggie i gotchu"

Hi there! Oh you have no idea how happy this message made me!

I love love love a good challenge, and I especially enjoy writing for unusual pairings precisely for the satisfaction of having readers come to me and say "you know, I didn't see it before but now that you've written it, you kinda make it work." That's it. That's the ultimate goal.

As for the rest I love having a nurturing Gomez who's a big softie but will bully Larissa into taking better care of herself, and a seductive but still caring Morticia... And Larissa just bi panicking lol.

It's just so much fun to write it and I am so glad you liked it...and I hope you'll like the next chapters too!

Hiiii! I am finally back with a fic, and with a longfic, too! This has been in the works for more than a year, I think the idea first came to me when I wrote First Evening Back and I did promise I would come back to write more in depth about my favorite trio...and here we are!

Larissa's Gloomy Summer

Summary: After the fire, the faculty quarters in Nevermore are not safe to live in. As the students go back to their homes, the principal gets offered a room in a certain gloomy mansion. Out of other viable options, she agrees. After all, it’s only until the school gets patched back up together. What could possibly go wrong?

A slightly AU, alternative ending fic filled with wacky domestic fluff, trauma processing, classical music references, and, of course, lots of feelings and angst. Endgame Gomez/Morticia/Larissa because polyamory is the solution to every love triangle.

“Absolutely not. I cannot accept, Mrs. Addams.” “But Larissa, you’ve said it yourself: the faculty quarters are not up to living standards after the fire.”

“I can still move into one of the temporary accommodations for the workers.” “Ridìculo! The principal, living in a tent!" Gomez, from his usual place next to his wife, butted into the conversation.  Larissa could feel the start of a tension headache coming on. She had hoped the Addamses had only come to Nevermore to pick up their daughter – clearly she’d been too naive. How did this become a debate over Larissa's living situation? “I agree, mon coeur, that is preposterous. We have plenty of space in our gloomy abode, and you’d be able to organize all the reconstruction works, as well as face all of the press backlash better if you didn’t have to worry about room and board.” Ugh, the backlash. Larissa didn’t even want to begin thinking about that. She could already imagine the scene: the phone ringing, emails flooding her inbox, journalist vultures swarming in front of the school’s gates… and her alone to face it all, after she quite literally almost died. She shivered at the memory of her close encounter with death, but having neither the time nor the energy to unpack all of that anytime soon, she shoved it in the back of her mind and concentrated on the small practical things she could feasibly tackle right now… …like getting out of this situation.

Larissa found herself thinking multiple times in the course of the next days that, for all their weirdness, there was something very soothing about being in the Addamses’ company. She poked and prodded at that thought in her brain, playing with it like she would with a Rubik’s cube, trying to unravel why she felt so at ease here, no matter the jump scares, the crawling creatures that came out of any corner, and the unsettling noises that drifted through the manor at the most unlikely of times.

Larissa shielded her eyes from the sun, looking towards the direction of the main door of the mansion. Her eyes flew to Morticia’s sinuous form as she was walking down the gravel pathway towards them under a black lace parasol, gliding on the uneven terrain like a living shadow. Or a predator stalking its prey. Larissa felt the shiver of their past competitiveness awaken once again. The instinct to show that predator that she had teeth and claws, too. It had laid dormant in her for too long. For years she had been deprived of a worthy rival to engage in battles of wit and ferociously polite debates. Until the Fates – or rather, Wednesday’s abysmal school records – had brought Morticia back in her presence. Oh, how she had hated her. And oh, how she missed hating her, too. Nothing ever made her blood boil quite as much as Morticia Frump did.  A smirk formed on her lips. The thrill of proving her wrong ignited an old fire that Larissa had almost forgotten she had within her.
