#lately he and Quinn have had the same understated reactions to scoring goals and I think it's because they know how much they have to offer#like it's just what they expect of themselves so scoring comes as a relief/a step towards fulfilling those expectations (especially Petey)#except they'll never be satisfied because they are built to push themselves further and further#they are just coming into their primes and there is still a sense that neither of them have fulfilled their potential#even with the heights that both of them have reached we still know that they will somehow find ways to get better#and it's always vindicating to believe in them because we know that they will prove their doubters wrong - even if it takes time#(Quinn with being perceived as a defensive liability in the past and. everything that's happened with Petey)#how their twin journeys diverge and converge around their own expectations + their belief in one another#is one of the reasons why peteyquinn is so fascinating to me#I don't know how these tags turned into peteyquinn but I do think it's funny how often either of them scores and the broadcast shows them#with the most neutral expression on their face while everyone else is cellying around them#elias pettersson#vancouver canucks#nhl#auriel:images#auriel:text
