‘to whom it may concern’ is so fun i want to use it in every single email no matter how well i know the person even if i am emailing one singular person who i am certain the email concerns
#to whom it may concern#it feels like kinda passive aggressive even if you dont mean it passive aggressively at all#like im emailing admissions at a college im interested in and i have to be like 'to whom it may concern'#cos im not emailing a specific person#and i just feel so fancy and powerful#like i have a phd and im like some fancy job person and im emailing all my coworkers about the 'incident' that happened yesterday#but we don't know who actually was responsible for the 'incident'#so now i have to take it upon myself to figure it out because no one will take any leadership around here#it's fucking ridiculous i am always the one stepping up in regards to these things#but as i dig deeper i start to uncover the truth and i realize that it concerns all of us#and we are all in grave and mortal danger#and if we don't work as a collective team the 'incident' could get out of control#and of course the higher ups aren't going to do anything they're just gonna sit there and say 'my hands are tied'#it is up to us perhaps the most dysfunctional group of coworkers ever#to fix the 'incident' and save the world
