#okay so i intended to post this this morning when i first woke up#was thinking about it last night#forgot#but it's about ooc characters actually#because I actually kinda love ooc characters because usually you can determine why they're ooc#and because as tf fans we already see how the different characters in different continuities... well... differ#I've mentioned this before a long time ago in how Megatron is a very interesting character to play with#because ultimately speaking he has a lot if wiggle room for variation even in canon#like i think y'all can see why exactly tfp au Megatron and tfp au Optimus don't act quiiiite the same as they do in canon#there's meta reasons and in universe reasons#I've seen a lot of fun depictions of morally gray Megatron and his redemption arcs#i think sometimes we forget that they're characters; nothing is set in stone and the mighty pen lets us explore things
