One thing I feel like people hardly ever talk about in regards to Ōkami is just how dark the game's storyline and lore actually is.
#Ōkami#it's kind of like kirby#where you have this adorable protagonist#and a generally more lighthearted tone paired with really dark storylines and lore#and not to mention terrifying looking bosses#like you look at Spider Queen and tell me that ain't the stuff of nightmares#anyways back to the lore#like a village having to sacrifice one of their maidens each year#or LITERAL FUCKING GENOCIDE#and survivor's guilt#like holy shit that's dark af
