Anyway thinking about Gilmore. Thinking about how he almost died during the attack of the conclave and he didn’t because Vox Machina came looking for him and took care of him and got him to safety and cared about him. Thinking about how we got to see what his charm and congeniality are for because he lost everything and almost died and he could still hold onto himself. Thinking about how easy it would be for the players to forget about an npc in the chaos and the fact that they didn’t. Thinking about how of everyone Vox Machina could have gone screaming for when the destruction rained down they didn’t spend the most time on their boss or their mentor they spent it on Gilmore. Thinking about how instead of finding him dead in Emon when they got back they got to see him happy and well again, rebuilding the life he wanted for himself before, living in the aftermath. Thinking about how they got to meet his parents and tell them he was safe and happy and successful and then when they got back they got to tell Gilmore his parents were proud of him. Thinking about how it could have been another way but it wasn’t, because you have to love Gilmore, you just have to.

Finale Sequence (113-115)

AAaaaaaaughgh it doesn’t quite feel like the finale yet but every time I look at my little playlist with only 3 episodes left i get so sad. The most ‘finale’ moment so far is definitely the feywild rest which BY THE WAY im so relieved they got to have. But then Vax was dead for so much of it???? like dude!!! he needed that time!!!!!!!! he’s out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(((((((((((((((((((

I’m having thoughts about Vax’s death again guys. Like I talked before about how he takes care of everyone else’s feelings about it and he’s so very good at it and the Raven Queen chose her paladin well and then the Raven Queen comes for him and its no different. Like nothing can make it OK and he knows that but. What he does in Vex for particular. She’s always been worried about them not having each other around so he tells her he’s going to see their mother. What else could be even close to an acceptable reason for leaving but that? She’s worried about being alone without him so he tells Percy to take care of her, not because she needs it but to remind her she has a bigger family now and she won’t be by herself. He tells Percy to take care of her to try to stop him from doing whatever self-destructive thing he’s going to do so that he’ll actually be there for her. And none of it quite works but none of it quite doesn’t.

FUCKING ICONIC of Vax to have been planning out the logistics of pranking Grog with the love potion for weeks only to realize it won’t work because Grog is only into women. My dear sweet boy forgot other people aren’t all bi. Real and accurate.

I am honestly loving the Grog-Percy team. Like anytime someone knows what Percy is doing he gets excited and its great and anytime Grog gets to do something hes good at and get praised or honored for it HE gets excited and its great and this is all of those things at once. 10/10

YEAHHRGH that moment where vex says “I don’t have that.” is just fucking CRUSHING. All the hoarding and stealing and frugality just in case for so many years and when she really needs valuables its still not enough. Everything she did for so long with everyone telling her ‘its fine’ ‘we dont need it’ ‘were okay now’ and she was right theyre not okay they did need it it wasn’t fine and being right wasn’t enough.
