    he’d consider himself perfectly capable of befriending new folks around the barrel - even if they only last a week before someone finds their body as a huddled form on the cobbled streets - and that includes newbie dregs. jesper doesn’t know much about the new pigeon. he’s sure inej probably knows about them; she’s probably the one that scoped them out, but as for jesper... near to nothing.
