9 People you'd like to know more:
tagged by @thatmadfirenationprincess (my main blog is lizdump), thanks for tagging me!
last song: dig down - muse
currently reading: sense and sensibility by jane austen
currently watching: yellowjackets and destined with you
next on my watchlist: I don't know, I haven't been in the mood for anything too harsh lately (which is why I've been watching more k-dramas, they usually have that feel good vibe american and british shows don't have that often). but I'd like to watch something with strong/ morally-gray/ complex/ villainous female characters at the front. maybe I'll take a peek at the wheel of time once season two comes out, at least for moiraine and siuan. might also watch special ops lioness, depending on how it ends.
current obsessions: going to the gym, baldur's gates 3, yellowjackets and essential oils
I don't have many mutuals on this account, so I don't know who to tag, but if you see this and feel like doing it, you are more than invited to!

I have my fuzzy guess but i'd rather not put words in your mouth soo taking both sides of the argument into account where do you stand on these?? lizdump tumblr com/post/691083733489664000 & like-a-ruby tumblr com/post/691061256040431616
Tldr for those curious about what these posts are: arguing that political lesbian is a valid thing.
I'd like to start by saying that this quote from the first post:
"If a woman has been happily heterosexual and then becomes a political lesbian and lives her entire life exclusively and happily dating/being intimate with women, that woman is a lesbian."
Makes no sense. This person uses the words "heterosexual" and "lesbian" but the word she's looking for is "bisexual" or "febfem" lmao. No lesbian woman would be happy with a man.
The "born this way narrative" is actually perfectly sound, because how on earth do you explain people being gay during times when they could be killed for it? How do you explain people alive TODAY who can be killed for homosexuality in their homeland? What was/is preventing them from changing if not something deeply innate within them?
I think the idea that someone can "become" gay is unbelievably offensive and directly harmful. If you can become gay then we can no longer tell parents to fuck off when they express concern of their kid becoming gay through media or whatever. Pushing the idea that people can choose to be gay will make it much easier for homophobic people to push back against us lmao. They'll try to find ways to limit the media/influence that "makes" people gay. This is straight up conversion therapy rhetoric and it's not even new lmao. People have long since talked about homosexuality being a choice to justify their hatred for us, and if you think you can spout the same thing without me absolutely fucking DRAGGING you can hit the block button before I do it for you 鉂わ笍
Just because you're pushing for "chosen gayness" in the name of feminism instead of in the name of christianity does not make it any better
