Ace people can get horny though? And if it works on straight women and gay dudes, that means "lack of sexual attraction to the subject" is irrelevant and being immune wouldn't make someone ace. Luffy isn't ace.

Not gonna die on this hill because I'm literally on episode 430 out of like 1,035 or whatever. Maybe something in the next 600 episodes might change my mind, but so far he's lookin' pretty aroace to me. This show sexualizes Nami at every opportunity and has a skeleton (with no physiological reason to even have a sex drive anymore) asking every single woman he meets to see their panties. So one must ask themselves, in a show that clearly isn't afraid to show their characters yearning, why never Luffy? I've heard people say he's just "pure of heart", only cares for adventure, or is just so oblivious and child-like that he doesn't even know what sex is, but if lack of interest in sex and romance isn't a defining characteristic of aroace, then what is?

Maybe I'll have more to say on the matter when I'm finally caught up.
