foodstamps themselves are BASED, especially if you live in california. pls update your misconceptions about them, theyre not limited like they used to be! almost any grocery store outside of specialty stores uses EBT including fancyass places like wholefoods. some specialty stores do, but you have to ask before you go. i found out hmart takes EBT and its great, i get specialty korean groceries for free.

theres very few things you cant get. alcohol and hot food, but the hot food one is kinda fuzzy, sometimes things count and other times they dont. you kinda have to find out by buying it and seeing if it takes your card.

you CAN get snacks and chips and junk food, ice cream, desserts, ive gotten a whole ham, tri tip, a wholeass prime rib, etc.

if youre unemployed and disabled GET ON EBT NOW especially if youre in a richer state because you will have so much ebt that you will have extra and no idea what to do with it except treat yourself. i eat at trader joes and whole foods and hmart every month without running out of money most of the time. i am by no means living in luxury otherwise, but my food situation is GREAT and i live a little in excess ngl im grocery spoiled. theres a chance you too could get this.

car is about to be repossessed + makes scary squeaky sound that needs to be checked + can no longer afford gas for grocery trips

have zero income because i am bedbound multiply disabled cane user (POTS, autism, CFS, degenerative joint pain)

i think ppl forget the "novel" part of visual novels. visual novels dont need gameplay because visual novels are novels. not automatically games. sometimes visual novels dont even have choices. i liken them more to picture books or even stage productions.

theres nothing wrong with having a preference for visual novels with gameplay, but thats not what the genre is FOR! visual novels without gameplay are not somehow lesser, and in fact theyre truer to the genre (whatever that means). ive noticed a lot of western vn feel the need to add in gameplay even when its not necessary, and its often to its own detriment. unless you have gameplay that ties in very well to the visual novel and adds to it, get rid of that shit! who needs it!

i think criticizing visual novels for having "too much text not enough game play" is kind of ridiculous, because visual novels are Novels that are Visual. they are books with pictures. they are plays you can often choose a prefabricated ending for. i think claiming that vns are lesser because they dont have gameplay is very unfair to the genre. (this belief expressed was not a critique of the story pacing but of vns without games breaking up text)

sometimes a medium is just not for you! and thats okay. theres some formats of media im not a particular fan of. i, however, love visual novels, i love choiceless twine games, i love stories that arent ashamed of being stories.

hi!! i'm luna and life as a disabled person fucking SUCKS!!!! im blasian, trans, autistic. i also have POTS and a brand-new heart condition i have no fucking clue how to get under control and am currently being terrorized night and day by.

i recently moved out of state to get into affordable housing, and had to give up my previous setup where the state gave me money for disability. according to my case manager, im about three months minimum from getting money that i need to survive.

i havent been able to pay rent in three months, and im falling behind on my bills. ive been working my caretaker to the bone and havent been able to pay him anything. i literally owe the person whos in charge of taking care of me money.

as of right now, im currently bedbound and unable to focus, much less hold down a job of any kind. everyday i struggle to feed and clothe myself.

please help me out! im already dealing with several debilitating conditions, i really dont need to be worrying about being in the negatives!!!!
