SHAPE OF PAIN : LUNA LOVEGOOD

A PICTURE — a single image reminding you of someone or something you’ve lost, something you don’t want to live without. You can’t seem to move on, to accept life has changed, to live again. You’re trapped in the picture, in the past. Maybe this was a lost family member or friend, maybe this was a sickness that isn’t going away, maybe this was a sinking into depression. But, you can’t help but remember how life was before, how life after will never be the same, and can’t help but feel that nothing in the future will be able to fill the hole the past left. Nothing lasts forever . . . right?

#series : harry potter ( hp ).#* luna : character study.#i'm dying on the inside because of this #luna's capability to retain & recall memories and events in her life is astounding #she's very memorious #if i could describe her mind to you / it would be as if memories were hanging on the wall like art in a gallery #except all the memories are hung like collage style / with no direct symmetry or space between them #and all the art in the gallery is hand painted by her #such a mind is how she really compartmentalizes everything / and why she seems so unbothered & aloof #by some traumatic things #it started happening soon after her mother died tbh #she was exhausted from grief & pain so she just started painting the imagery in her mind / hanging it up on a wall / and move on from it #which is why i disagree with the part where she can't move on or accept change / because she can ( it depends on the event / situation )#haha i hate this #: )
