Mangey tumbled into the ground, yelping as he rolled onto the grass of the Boscage. While he was getting better at flying his landings still needed some work.
Rubbing his head he looked around to determine his surroundings. It was a shadier area of the Boscage which was the reason why he stopped his flight, not wanting to fly blind.
He hadn’t flown far from the rest of his friends so he wasn’t too worried about finding his way back to them. Even then if he was gone for too long there was no doubt they would come find him.
So for now he wandered around the area he landed in. These parts of the Boscage were his favorite even though they didn’t venture in these areas often, a small remnant of when Thorn was against them, the trees denser, with very little light getting through.
This is what Mangey loved about it. Above in the treetop village there wasn’t any good way to take a break from the relentless sun, venturing down with the risk of being hit back up or just bearing it out until the sun went down. The one thing he hated almost as much as his hunger during that time was the heat from the sun or even the burns he got from constant exposure.
Down here though it was cool. The shade combined with a light breeze gave Mangey a sense of calmness as he walked through the trees.
Each step he took reminded him that he was no longer in the treetops. He had the solid ground under his feet, if he made the slightest misstep he wouldn’t be plummeting to certain doom, he’d only get a light scrape on his knee. He no longer had to worry about rationing only two berries amongst five people, having just shared a meal with his friends before this little adventure.
He couldn’t help the yawn that bubbled up from his chest. Glancing up through one of the few openings in the leaves he saw that the sun was just barely reaching its highest point. He shrugged to himself as he settled down on a soft patch of grass, he’s sure the others wouldn't get mad at him for this, especially since it was so nice out.
Stomach full, shaded from the harsh sun, and with the solid ground underneath him Mangey curled into himself ready to take one of the best naps of his life.

Nine getting better and actually being able to stand the company of other people for the most part, but he still spends most of time as far away from everyone as possible.
Until he makes the mistake of leaving his room to get a glass of water, one thing let to another – prerty sure he spent two hours building missiles and playfully bickering with Tails about the designs, and later bulding a tree house – all while he just tried to slip on past and back to his room.

Perhaps have the bonuses be hidden or partially hidden, some nobleman having a higher dc to convince because the adventuring party is dressed to nicely to have the practical experience for the task, for example
Oh for sure, it’ll be backended. I just have to think up how I’m going to make each look -good- and also in-character.
the NPCs are easy peasy;
Mirku is a half orc bard (mute musician), I’m literally just gonna give her the pure unadulterated “bitch I’ma  fucking noble” treatment. But also maybe use osme spell to enhance the look of her tusk (cause she likes her tusk, is very proud of it, and will absolutely wanna show it off).
Almar is a orc rogue sniper (and an utter elfaboo) so he’ll literally just be dressed in the garb of like, a high elf noble warrior king; which is doubly hilarious because he specifically can recite high elf poetry and shit verbatim.
The party is a bit harder, but I can see most of it;
Then there’s Frankie the Halfling fighter, probably would play up the whole “I am no man” vibe, plain, clean clothing with just enough polish and shine to show that it’s all well used equipment and ready to be used on anyone who gets in the way.
Boyuan the orc witch (brother to Almar) will probably go whole hog sophisticate` because he;s recognized as a hero, but with just this big vibe of witch doctory-ness. So these flowing, beautiful robes and ermine or white fox fur, a fine walking/divining stave, etc, and some kind of realy fancy face painting and his hair done up.
Chakram is a warforged, so he’d literally just get a full once-over polish and shine, and maybe some kind of shawl or tabard, probably with arcane shit on it.
Neezo would....I mean honestly he’s going to either wanna dress like Almar (For reasons) or get something diaphanous and suiting his nature as a smokesoul slyph shadowcaster. maybe black velvet drapeyness over vaguely adventerous/magey garb in dark greys and blues?
Uhtulk is a brewmaster and a follower of Cayden; so I’m vibing something like much more commonplace than the insane drip of everyone else, but also filled with all these subtle nods to cayden, brewing, etc.
Meri, the one-armed summoner and her pet demon thing are a lot harder; pet demon probably could just get given a fringed and embroidered toga dealio and look properly noble/spooky, but for Meri, how do I deal with her missing hand? Show it off or hide it? Asymmetric  matched outfits, mirrored to underline that Meri’s right hand is the demon in question would be a cool vibe, maybe.
Just this sort of matched color scheme and vibe saying “we’re here together, fuck around and find out”

vihka comp
Koki likes the Vihka, and a big reason that they dont really change is because a lot of their magic is supplied by him and his 'lost' magic, rather than the sunsKoki, being a smaller form of the Moon deity with a bit of the suns magic he claimed for himself haha
in terms of population size, it would go Cether>Thule>Os'tas>Jahkl>Vihka(fox kids)Jahkl and Fox kids are very much limited to the Kel Del area
when it comes to Vihka They came from a group of jahkl a loong time ago that were kinda...isolated, and disagreed with the way things were run. especially regarding magic
I imagine that a LOT of these Jahkl bore cooler, darker fur - including moon priests.
 but a lot of them were also just regular jahk, So we get a mixture of Vihka coat colours
I think to some extent, coat colour CAN mean some variation in natural magical skill
As in, those descended from moon priests - who worked hard for their magic - easily passed this onto their offspring Because remember, the energy of the land seeps in, especially through use and reproduction
HOWEVER, you cant definitively say that cooler furred Vihka are innately better at magic. Because it takes work and skill more than anything
As a whole, the Vihka society isnt super developed as of yet  - but I imagine them to be very magey, with very beautiful architecture in their little cityand towns haha
