Hi, I'm Twilla and I'm currently in the process of writing a ShigaDeku Dystopia/Soulmate AU fic that no one, and I mean literally NO ONE, asked for! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Why do I always join fandoms late and why do I always somehow end up loving/shipping the rarepairs in fandoms that barely anyone likes or wants to read about lmao? 🥺👉👈
I just finished reading the latest manga chapter, watched all six seasons, and binged all three movies. I am absolutely BURSTING with ideas of where I want this story to go. I want to at least post the first chapter by the time ShigaDeku Week 2024 is here next month. :)
In my fic timeline, the MHA canon story line doesn't happen until Class 1-A's third year, and since my story is set six years after their graduation, most of the main characters are in their mid to late twenties. My story starts after the Quirk Affliction, a strange illness that begins killing off Quirk-users all around to world, resulting in a massive a death toll that causes civilized society to collapse.
Anyways, here's the general synopsis:
The Final War was over before it had even begun. With the onset of the Quirk Affliction, a mysterious illness that disproportionately targeted the Quirks of heroes over the Quirks of villains, the world was left defenseless as it plunged into a new era of chaos and devastation.
It’s been six years since the onset of the Affliction and the death of All Might. Six years since the world’s heroes, and the society they desperately fought to protect, have crumbled into dust in Shigaraki Tomura’s hands.
From the ashes of this destruction, Japan’s new regime was born. The country was split into three territories, each with its own Grand Commander, united in nothing save for one singular rule: life for those who submit, and death for those who do not.
As Grand Commander of the largest and most plentiful of Japan’s territories, Shigaraki has lived the last six years reaping the fruits of his labors and taking pride in helping his Sensei accomplish his dream. But as of late, Tomura has been having strange dreams of his own: hazy memories of an abandoned park, of blooming wisteria trees, of laughter and freckles and forest green eyes.
Midoriya Izuku, now Quirkless due to the Affliction, has not stopped his pursuit of helping others, despite the world — and everything in it — turning itself upside down. Izuku dreams of a brighter future, and strangely enough, dreams of his long-lost childhood friend, Shimura Tenko.
The same Tenko that Izuku had unknowingly befriended as a young boy. The same Tenko who’d stopped him from jumping off the rooftop all those years ago. The same Tenko that, Izuku realized with horror, was now the monster known as Shigaraki Tomura.
Unfortunately, Izuku learns all too late that having a Soulbond with the King of Villains comes with a heavy cost. Shigaraki seems hell-bent on keeping Izuku as close to him as possible, believing Izuku to be his Soulmate, and thus, Shigaraki’s only true weakness, stirring up an ill-fated romance that neither has prepared themselves for.
As a new calamity encroaches upon them in the form of a mad man attempting to become a god, the heroes and villains must find a way to work together and solve the mystery of the Affliction before it destroys the world and everything they hold dear.
✨ P l e a s e ✨ let me know if you're interested in hearing about this by either, liking, reblogging, or sending me a PM. I'm working really hard to get the first chapter of this out by ShigaDeku Week 2024 in May!
Thank you so much for reading. 💚💚💚

Okok I’m back to talk about this AU idea!
So basically In this AU the hero industry has become corrupt, double standards everywhere, entertainment focused on more than Justice and peoples rights and many heroes are convinced that there’s nothing wrong and they’re doing the right thing when they’re being used as political puppets without even knowing it
Heroes themselves are effectively brainwashed into not realizing anything is amiss and anyone who dares to question the authority figures suddenly seem to disappear off the grid
I wanted to focus on present mic for this AU bc I love him so much and yeah- but basically he becomes a “villain” though I was going to write it more of him being an antihero where he tries to take down the current hero industry as it’s gone too far in how it operates and needs serious reform
For a design I wanted to go for a cyberpunk inspired costume which I sketched out!
A lot of this has been inspired by a lot of music I’ve been listening to recently and also some other stuff I’ve been thinking about and I’ll also link a Spotify playlist of that music that’s been inspiring me!
Later on in the story I was going to have Aizawa join mic after a lot of convincing that led him to learn the truth and some others pro heroes that I haven’t decided on yet!
Also please feel free to suggest ideas! This all sort of came to me in an hour or so like it’s nowhere close to fully put together ^^’
Here’s the playlist!

You know what would work better than a no quirk AU. A no Hero Au where the dawn of quirks was less apocalyptic heroes remain in the realm of Comics and the world isn't a nightmare dystopia. Just the cast of MHA living a mostly peaceful mundane life with low stake plots except almost everyone has superpowers they use for everyday mundane stuff.
There's a lot you can do with a Quirks But No Heroes premise

What are three AUs you'd like to see Dabihawks in? 👀
*sending u kisses for giving me an opportunity to rant abt dabihawks*
first, maybe not so much of an AU, but I like to see them in some kind of cyberpunk dystopia. hawks's experiences growing up has such dystopian protagonist energy but i dont think mha is gonna delve into that too much, so im itching to see an au that actually emphasizes this dark part of reality they r in. and whenever i picture dabihawks i always associate them with neon lights, rooftops and dark alleys and such, which fits right into that high-tech low-life cyberpunk aesthetic. maybe what i actually want is a darker version of MHA told from Dabihawks's dual POVs starting from when they were kids to the present, with a much closer focus on the flaws of hero society and an additional sprinkle of aesthetics :DDDD
Second is the classic road trip au, or more specifically, the end of the fxxking world au. its a british black comedy about two mentally ill teenagers finding love and meaning of life with each other, so, um. one of the protagonists also punched his dad in the face. theres smth abt this show that just fits dabihawks so much hahaha
Third is probably dark academia murder mystery? like i can already imagine the (very cliche) first line, "Touya Todoroki was reported dead." Dabi has so much drama i think he deserves to be an obnoxious theater kid who remembers too much shakespeare to be sane lmao. The problem is that i can't picture Hawks in such a setting, and I don't have an idea how the plot of this AU would actually unfold.
THANK U SO MUCH FOR UR ASK DORIAN <333 Its making me want to write dabihawks hahaha

Spacefly’s Looking for RP Partners! [bnha/mha | email | doubling | oc x canon | 21+]
Greetings fellow earthling nerds! It’s Spacefly, but you can call me Space or H.
Who Am I? 29, female, PST Reply Style / Expectations
I prefer multi-paragraph replies, anywhere between 3-10 paragraphs. I don’t expect you to match length/word count but I would greatly prefer my partner to fall within the same wide spread of replies. I write third person, past tense, and fall into lit or adv. lit. If you want a sample or anything, let me know!
Genres: Fantasy, drama, romance, angst, action, sci-fi, dystopia, etc.  Rated M for Mature or R. All characters must be of age, at least 18, as I prefer to venture into mature themes including violence and s*xual situations. We can go further into hard limits, but I prefer more plot than p*rn. I’m happy to dig into smut if it comes up but I prefer it not to be the focus. I will usually fade to black and prefer some more flowery language and euphemisms personally.
Plot: I love to plot! I love to think ahead and am happy to create a roadmap for us. I love to do big picture at first then break into chunks with more scene by scene ideas. Let me know what level of plotting you prefer and help me come up with the direction our scenes and story will take shape. Characters: I would love to play one of my OC’s and a canon character for you! Or multiple! It depends on what we’re looking for. I find I can juggle no more than three main characters or things start to get a little out of hand for me. I’m happy to bring side characters (canon or OC) in and out as needed though.  Frequency / Delivery: I will only rp over email, but am happy to chat over Discord or Google chat. You can expect at least three replies from me a month unless I let you know it’s especially crazy and don’t have time. I try my best to be weekly but sometimes it’s just not feasible.   Please don’t be shy about reminding me or nudging me to get back to you. Also, I love to chat and make friends so let me know how comfortable with out of character interaction you are. I don’t want to smother you with friendship if that’s not your style. As mentioned...I’m looking for My Hero Academia!
******* Dark!Deku timeline - please ask me more about this. I have some ideas that involve Shigaraki and Dabi as heroes. I’m really, really interested in this!
*Pro Hero
*College AU
*Fantasy AU
*Gotham-esque AU My preferred partner would be interested in writing Dabi or Bakugo. Dabi is my first choice!
I vastly prefer OC x Canon to Canon x Canon and I’m most comfortable with MxF. I’m open to writing for anyone except Mineta. I don’t have much experience writing canon characters from MHA but I’m happy to give it a go. Just ask :)
If you’re still interested, you can reach me at [email protected] or you can DM me here.
Hope to hear from you soon!
Spacefly out!

Fun facts or design notes about any oc? Any based on a person in your life or an aspect of yourself? What inspired you to make them?
Amelia is very much inspired by myself! Mainly when it comes to her interests and personality. And the vitiligo of course
it wasn’t intentional at first but I noticed that Owen looked a lot like Archie and (TinTin a little) from the comics and I liked the way that looked which helped lead to more if my current style! You can see where that click happened I’d you look back through my art lmao.
Liam also went through quite a few changes, He and Owen actually did a bit of personality switch! I try not to base my characters off of real people cause it feels a little weird to me but sometimes when you draw a character you might see pieces of people you know which is interesting but I think I’ve avoided that well for the most part lmao
I’m free real estate tho when it comes to thatDSKSEK. I do think it does make developing certain characters harder especially like villains because I can’t relate to them or their actions or just don’t find them as fun to work with which is definitely something I need to work on
usually I come up with some sort of au or I question something about another series/common troupe does that makes me think “what if similar concept but extremely different in plot/lore” like The Neighbors started off as a slice of life au and snowballed from there, my storyline with Alexander stemmed from what if mutants/superpowers became the norm thousands of years ago(technically modern day was the thousands of years ago so it’s set in the “future”), what would that look like (MHA anime came out shortly after that and is completely different in plot and tone (kinda) but still oof) and turned into a dystopia thing lol. The cryptid county was also an idea for an au but I just made that into its own plot line as well

If I may: the political anti-quirk dystopia but mutant types who are in various organisations don't really go out because it's pretty obvious they still have their abilities AND in the particular organisation almost all non-mutants got in huge trouble and have to be rescued
Also the government agents are pretty scary
Those are all rather quick sketches but you know,,,, gotta procrastinate

I'm trying to think of the right tags to differentiate my hurt/comfort fic with dark themes but a happy ending vs. a hurt/NO comfort fic that has dark themes and an unhappy ending?
I want to tag appropriately so readers can avoid what they don't want to see but I'm kinda having I'm trouble thinking of the right way to convey the distinction between the two. There's a lot of crossover between these two types of fics and many people are okay with the former but want to avoid the latter. So I don't want them to avoid my fic thinking it's a massive angst fest without any payoff or juicy emotional comfort scenes.
Often times, the latter has dark, disturbing, non-con scenes as a feature of the romance rather than something awful/traumatic that the characters go through. Which is fine, because that's the kind of story some people want to write, and I respect their creative liberty to do so.
I feel like this is especially important because with a lot of ShigaDeku media and fanfiction, there's a lot of non-con that many people do not wish to read, but there is also many, many fics featuring full consent, soft and caring shiggy, and even full-blown Shiggy redemption stories.
But my fic features a toxic, tumultuous, 'mortal enemies to ill-fated lovers' type of start, but absolutely no non-con happens between the main ship. That's not to say it's 100% super healthy either, as there's some dark, disturbing, and mature themes (hello they're living in a literal dystopia where majority of villains are in power and are fighting to keep it that way), lots of emotional hurt/angst, kidnapping, captivity, and a sort of 'forced to interact with each other because we're soulmates' type of deal.
But it gradually grows into something healthy, loving, and ultimately helps both characters grow and mature as they navigate their new dynamic. Some huge themes in this story are character growth, relationship development, change and redemption, and exploring grey morality (what it even means to be a hero/villain and how the lines between the two often blur), and the real issues of hero society and all it's flaws.
The hurt/comfort is going to be REAL and Izu and Shiggy are going to earn their happy ending the hard way, lol.
Does anyone have any good tag ideas or something that might help me with this issue? Regardless, thank you for reading! 💚💚💚

Pairing: Kaminari x Fem!Reader
Null & Void
The prison cell door buzzes open, breathing the silence that had become all too familiar. The sounds of boots echo through the hall as a guard hands over a pile of neatly folded clothes. The fresh fabric against your skin feels so good, like a calming reminder that you're no longer confined in that wretched place. Squinting your eyes against the bright sun, you sigh, taking in the freedom that surrounds you. Now what?
"Y/N!" a sudden familiar voice cuts out through the air. You look over to see your friend, Kendo, running toward you with a genuine smile on her face. Her hug is warm, and it makes you feel loved. She's the only person to hug you since the incident, and you feel yourself melting into the touch. "I'm so happy you're finally out. How have you been?"
Your reply is quite simple. "I need a shower."
"Oh, right," she grins as she guides you toward her car. "You can stay with me at the shop for a while. Shower isn't great, but it works."
"Thanks," you reply as you open the passenger door and step inside.
The car ride is silent. You have nothing to say to her yet, you don't even know how she feels about you right now. She never came to visit the prison and you sure as hell didn't have enough money to be making any calls that would be long enough to explain what had happened.
"I'm trying to think," she hums, finally breaking the silence as she travels along the once-familiar roads. God, one thing that hasn't changed is how shitty everything looks. Of course you had to be the small part of the population that didn't have any quirks or, really, means to defend yourself. "Not much has changed around here..."
Not much? you think to yourself as she takes a left turn that causes your heart to drop into your stomach. It's all changed.
"Sorry," she mutters, the car seeming to slow down as she drives her crappy car down the one road you wish she wouldn't.
Your neighborhood has indeed shifted, forcing you to catch up with a world that has moved on without you. Passing the remnants of your burned-down home, the painful reminder of your past, doesn't help much either. Your body aches as you catch sight of two teenagers graffiti the wall, leaving their own mark of destruction and chaos. The car speeds up, the tires squealing a bit as they take another left turn.
"It's okay," you reassure her, looking down at your lap.
"So, uh, did you make any friends while you were away?" she asks as though you had spent a year frolicking in faction two with all of the climate guardians.
"A few," you mutter, "but they're serving longer sentences so it doesn't quite matter. Oh, that reminds me, my parole officer is going to check in on me so I'm going to have to give her your address."
"Sure thing," she smiles softly as she parks the car outside of the small shop she calls home. She then reaches into the glovebox, grabs a small piece of paper and a pen, and jots down her address before handing it to you. "Here you go, I'm sure you don't think about address while you're-"
"Thanks," you mutter, getting out of the car and grabbing your bag.
"Oh," she says, popping the trunk and pulling out a few bags. "I got you some food and a few necessities." You can tell she has no idea how to handle your return. Why is she even letting you stay with her if she's this confused? "Come on, let's go around back."
Kendo guides you to the back entrance of the small building where she lives. She sets down her bags for a moment as she searches her pockets for her key and unlocks the door. You then reach for one of the bags she had set down.
"Thank you," you mutter as she opens the door and walks inside. You follow her past the first door and watch as she unlocks the one on the left. When it's open, she ushers you inside and sets the bag down on the bed. It's just enough space for the bed, nightstand, and plant, but it's nice. It's a room that you can call your own and not a cage with a cot.
"This room is yours," she tells you as she grabs the bag you had been carrying and places it beside the other. "Bathroom is attached on the right. I'm going to make us something to eat but shout if you need me, okay?"
"Sure, thanks," you nod as she walks out. You then enjoy the otherwise mediocre shower and dress in the clothes she had purchased. A simple shirt and jeans.
After the shower, you walk into the somehow even smaller-than-you-remember kitchen to see her standing over the stove. A delicious aroma fills the air. When she sees you, a small smile appears on her face.
"Have a seat," she nods toward the small table that looks as though it has seen better days.
You do so, watching as she pulls the pot off the heat and serves up two bowls of tomato soup. As you take your first sip, you begin to feel incredibly guilty for not clueing her in sooner. But just as you part your lips to explain, she speaks first.
"Hey, do you want to do anything this afternoon?" she asks rather cheerfully, catching you off guard.
"What?"
"I closed the shop for the day. I thought maybe we could spend some time together," she replies with a warm smile.
"You're being very... nice," you admit, a bit thrown off by her kindness. "But I think I'd rather just get some rest."
"Oh, yeah, of course," she shakes her head as though getting rid of some daydream where the two of you gossiped about crushes or something. She then rises to her feet and collects the dirty dishes before setting them in the sink. "I'll be here if you need anything."
Part of you wishes you would just call out to her and explain, but another part is thankful you haven't. You don't have the energy to talk about the details, and she probably wouldn't understand. Not yet, at least.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
"Please!" you cry, the words ripping from your throat in a desperate plea that echoes throughout the courtroom.
You always used to hate when your father would bring you along with him to work, especially when he'd make you tag along at some poor soul's trial. Except this time is worse, painfully worse. You're all alone, tears streaming down your face as you sit, overwhelmed by the accusations that have shattered your world. You didn't kill them.
Satou, your father's partner, places a gentle hand on your shoulder, attempting to offer you comfort, but you simply shrug him off. What use is he now in front of the Home Secretary and a jury of citizens that'll do anything to get a murderer behind bars?
But you can't help it. The grief is too strong and the wounds are way too fresh.
Monoma, that idiotic prosecutor who most likely has way better things to do than personally sentence you to jail, stands before the jury and clears his throat. "This woman," he summarizes just before they are ready to make their decision, "has killed her own father, her own mother, and her own little sister by arson. Fingerprint samples have been collected, and the evidence shows she was the only one who had touched those fuel canisters. I urge you, if there is no doubt in your mind that this woman, clearly hellbent on the destruction of our world, was ended the lives of her own flesh and blood, to find her guilty!"
Murmurs spread around the room. You can feel all eyes on you, but you don't bother looking up from the hands on your lap.
"I didn't..." you whimper, feeling so small.
"You'll be alright," Satou tries to comfort, but it only makes you more emotional.
"I didn't..."
Before you know it, the judge is looking over at the foreman and asking for a decision from the juror. As the foreman stands, his face stern and unwavering, his decision is announced: guilty.
The gavel sounds and a few people rise to their feet, clapping and cheering.
The weight of their judgment feels like a brick hitting your chest. Seven years in prison - a sentence that feels like an eternity. The grief, disbelief, and crushing weight of guilt bear down on you as the reality of your new life sinks in. The courtroom falls into an eerie silence as you're forced into shackles and taken out of the room.
Just as the door is held open for you, your eyes meet with Kendo's. Your best friend, once the one you'd go to for anything, looks at you as if she truly believed everything Monoma said. Of course that asshole was very convincing, but couldn't she tell when her best friend was being falsely accused of murder? She knew how much you loved your family, even though you didn't always have the same views as they did. You'd never kill them.
∿*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣𐦍*̩̣‧̩̣₊̣‧̩̣*̩̣∿
A moment later, you wake up in a cold sweat with your heart pounding from the lingering weight of the nightmare that dragged you into a world of the past. As you pull the blanket closer to your chest and look around the dimly lit room, you sigh, knowing the only way to feel better is to talk with Kendo.
Except now it's the middle of the night as you slide out of bed and leave your room. Outside, the night air feels cool on your skin as you sit down on the small porch. You sigh as the weight of the past, the trial, and the sentence pressed on your mind. But just as the silence threatens to swallow you whole, Kendo emerges from the shadows and sits down beside you.
Her presence is comforting, like it always was. Silently, she passes you a cup of warm tea, a gesture that speaks volumes. She then pulls a cigarette from her pocket and lights it. You watch, waiting to see what her reaction will be as the smoke drifts through the air. She takes a long drag, then exhales.
Kendo knows you don't want to talk about it, understands the wounds are still too raw. Yet, you both know that there will come a time when the truth needs to be shared.
The steam from the tea swirls in the night air as she speaks softly. "I know it's not easy, and I won't push, but when you're ready, I'm here to listen. To share the burden, whatever it may be. Shaving six years off your sentence is no joke."
"I know," you nod and take a sip. The warm liquid is soothing as you swallow. The silence returns, but the weight of the past has dissipated.

Elementalist AU: in the mall scene, Izuku lights Shigaraki's hands on fire, takes enough air from his lungs to knock him out and makes the ground trap his legs jut to be sure, how many does this derail AFO's plans?
Don't forget that Midoriya's biggest weakness is control. Any single one of those is complicated to do considering he uses kinesthesia to focus on what he wants to do. Also that's super illegal because MHA is a nightmare dystopia, and he'd be wary about that after the whole Stain thing.
Speaking of, considering that Midoriya took down Stain so he wouldn't have a good chance for his big speech, there's probably no mall incident at all

League of Good AU
-"heroes" are dictators in a dystopia disguised as a utopia -UA is meant to brainwash people powerful enough to prove substantial threat into peons -league of villains are trying to overthrow the brainwashers -they're actually good people -midoriya was brainwashed via the media as a child but since coming to UA seems to be immune to the more literal brainwashing and realizes something's up -bakugo seems brainwashed but is planning on going solo to overthrow the dystopia from the inside -he thinks midoriya's on to him -the league kidnap bakugo 'cause they figure out his plan and they start to work together -midoriya doesn't know the league is good -he "saves" bakugo -bakugo's like 100% certain now that midoriya's here to keep him from toppling the regime -midoriya keeps trying to subtly get his classmates to realize they're being brainwashed, since he believes they're good people -bakugo's just here to fuck shit up -chaos happens -all for one is still a bad guy but tomura's convinced him he's evil too (spoiler: he's creepy lookin', but this tomura ain't evil) to use him in their plans -midoriya still has one for all from all might but he got it before he realized the "heroes" were actually evil/mind-controlled peons and now he's just working to try to get in as much danger as possible so all might has to "save him," thus weakening him further so he's no longer a threat (bakugo just thinks he's damn incompetent. not much difference there than from canon)
