Yooo hoooo! It’s meeeee! Hope you guys didn’t think I was done with Tomas crying cause it gets wooooooorse!
context and headcannons:
Bi-Han I think cared for his brother a lot as kids, him and Kuai liang would stay up into late hours to stay with him when he got night terrors. Those were the only two who Tomas connected with for awhile, afraid of their father and unwilling to accept either parent for awhile. Bi-Han was a very protective sibling for a long time until the pressure of being the next grandmaster drowned out his free will and filed his growing resentment of his father.
A part of Bi-han is still so very protective of his brothers, but it’s buried under so much resentment and anger.
robert lightwood's character is so crazy like in tmi he's just alec's homophobic dad and then all of sudden your reading his internal monologues about how he doesn't like women and feels like he's performing in nearly every aspect of his life and how weirdly close him and his bestie (who's in love with him) are. like huh.
I like to imagine that one day Apollo WAS SO madly in love with Kayla's father that he looked him in the eye and said: "I want to have a child with you" 🥹
Darren of course looked at his silly - adorable boyfriend and laughed assuming he was just saying something silly - adorable
And after two months Apollo announces that he is pregnant.
I find it kinda amusing how Apollo is generally accepted to be the master of all healing arts and yet some authors ascribe the discovery of specific fields of medicine/health to him. Like yes this god knew all the healing stuff but he really, really liked this one specifically.
Hyginus has recorded a tradition where Apollo was the first to discover eye treatment. Why the eye specifically? What was the reason??
Another example is, him basically founding what seems to be nutritional science:
"(Quantity) is as important as quality, for sometimes a slight change in quantity produces a great change in quality, as with wine. First making men more cheerful, later it undermines morals and sanity. This difference is generally ignored in things in which the result is not so pronounced, although everything eaten is the cause of a certain peculiar disposition. Hence it requires great wisdom to know and perceive which quality and quantity of food to eat. This science, first unfolded by Apollo and Phaon, was later developed by Asclepius and his followers."
– Iamblichus, The Life Of Pythagoras (trans. Kenneth Guthrie)
He even teamed up with a mortal for this (Phaon was totally Apollo's test subject trust me I was there) it's more surprising because gods don't even need to eat (I think) so really, what made him passionate about this specifically.
