jeremiah listened to the student complain - though he chose to not interrupt, he found it slightly amusing. “maths is important, because behind everything math is involved, even creating  coffee takes calculations, measurements.” he smiled gently at the thought, a small laugh escaping his lips. “don’t knock it too hard, whilst i agree some equations and concepts are pointless - for the most part maths can be incredibly helpful.” the teacher admitted. “coffee sounds good though, your shout?” he joked lightly.  

“When was the last time you used one of these equations in real life?” Kallista challenged with a raise of her brows as she held up her messily scribbled notes, sighing in exasperation. Though, like a good student, she let him finish his statement. Kali shrugged and bit down on her lower lip. Perhaps she was being irrational but math was truly the bane of her existence. In hindsight, she wasn’t sure why she was even asking a history teacher for help. Jeremiah just seemed.... helpful, she supposed. “Wouldn’t it be more gentlemanly to buy me coffee?” She retorted teasingly with a smirk. “Wow, I guess chivalry is dead.”
