He noticed you one day at school

He was just passing by and noticed that there were some kids picking on you

It wasn't like it was the first time it happened to you, he had just noticed it now

You weren't saying anything to the girls that were making fun of you as you tried to walk through the hallway

One of them pushed you, and your notebook came out of your hands, causing your papers inside to go flying

As the snickered and walked away, you were frantically picked up your papers

Jughead went over and helped

He noticed that they were notes on Jason Blossom's death

You grabbed them from him, muttering a quiet "thank you" and rushed off

He saw you after school as you were walking home, and decided to walk up to you

He put his hands on your shoulders, startling you

"We need to talk. Come with me."

He led you to Pop's, where you both sat on the same side in a booth

"Why do you have papers on Jason Blossom's murder?"

You let out a sort of squeak, and Jughead figures he should back off

He orders you a milkshake

"Give me your number."

You hesitate, but still do it

After all, you've seen him around before

He texts you, and you stare at each other before you answer back

Turns out that, like him, you're very curious and just want to know the truth

He puts down his phone and offers you his hand

"I'm Jughead. Jughead Jones III."

You give him what he finds an adorable smile

"Y/n." You quietly say as you shake his hand

So he offers to work with you

You felt like he was annoyed about you not talking much, but he actually loves it

It makes you a great listener

You two end up being an investigative duo

You were there for him when he became homeless

You hid him in your room and brought him food

You both began leaving sticky notes on each other's stuff

It started with you thanking him with a sticky note for being his friend on his beanie when he woke up while you took a shower

It made him smile and feel good about himself, and from there the notes took off

All of his notes end with a drawing of his signature crown

One day on a weekend you woke up with notes trailing outside of your door

The first note told you to follow the trail

So you did

It led to outside

It kept giving you little signs here and there that say keep going and almost there

It leads you to Pop's, at a booth where Jughead is sitting there with your favorite milkshake that has two straws on the table

You smile and slide next to him "What's this?"

He smiles back and sticks a note on your forehead

You grab the sticky note and read it

Date? With a crown on top of the word

You nod and kiss his cheek, causing him to grab your face and kiss your lips

From then on you two are the "weird couple"

Pretty soon Archie's dad offers Jughead to stay with them, so he starts living over there

You visit frequently, and Archie's dad begins to treat you like his own daughter

One day you knock on Jughead's dad's trailer

When FP opens the door, he recognizes you

You come in with groceries and start unpacking them into the cabinets and fridge

You clean out the fridge and all the liquor in the house first

"What are you doing kid?"

"Helping." He waits for more, but then remembers Jughead telling him that you're more on the quiet side

"Why?"

"For Jug." You offer him a smile

That was when he knew his son chose right

You would frequently visit FP while he was trying to get better

You helped by cleaning and trying to teach him how to cook

You would draw him certificates of being sober and frame the latest one to hang up

Once you drew him an updated one, you took the old one out of the frame and replaced it with the new drawing

After you hung up his 2 month sober certificate, he felt ready to ask his son to come home

Once he joined the Serpents, his serpent friend group welcomed you with open arms

That started on the day the Serpents went to Riverdale High for the first day

These Bulldogs were pestering you and knocked you down

Sweet Pea, Fangs and Toni saw

Fangs and Sweet Pea shoved them against the locker while Toni helped you up

"You're Jughead's girl, right?"

You smiled and nodded your head and Fangs' question

"You could hang with us if you want?" Toni offered

For a bit, Jughead was jealous of Sweet Pea and your friendship

But you reassured him that you only have eyes for him and that Sweet Pea was just like that with all of his close friends

Of course, you two said that while sitting across your room from each other

You were writing notes and making paper airplanes to toss at each other

After reading your note of explaining to him that you're what he wants, he sees that you crawled to him and make out
