oh oh oh!!! some really good ones here if I do say so myself! 🥰
cheek kiss
"Make sure Buck doesn't stay up too late," he added, grinning up at the man in question who rolled his eyes in response.
"Go or you're gonna be late," Chris said without looking up.
"Okay, okay." Eddie lifted his hands in surrender and headed to the door which Buck was holding open for him.
"Have fun," Buck said with a grin.
"I will. Thanks again, Buck. See you later." Leaning in, Eddie cupped one side of Buck's face with a hand and pressed a kiss to the other side before ducking out the door and getting in the elevator.
The doors were shut and he was on his way down to the ground floor when he realised what he'd done.
don't say his name
this one is a little bit dumb jskfhes but the idea is that buck and eddie get dared/bet that they can't go a whole day/week (I haven't decided yet) without saying each other's name
Looking up, Chimney opened his mouth to remind him about the week-long dare they had to adhere to, but was interrupted as Eddie said, "Hey, Babe."
"So good to see you, Love," Buck said, giving Eddie's shoulder a squeeze as he passed him on his way to the kitchenette for a cup of coffee.
Chimney and Bobby stared at them in surprise.
"What?" Buck asked as he put the coffee pot back down.
Chimney shook his head and said nothing, looking back down at the magazine he had in front of him.
"Wasn't the dare just that you couldn't use each other's names?" Bobby asked.
"Yeah, and?" Buck asked as he leaned his arms on the counter. "We didn't."
"No, but..." Bobby looked between the two of them before letting out a quiet sigh. "Never mind. Carry on."
fwb no kissing rule
Buck stared up at him. Eddie didn't look horrified or as though he'd just realised how Buck felt and was about to say that they should put some distance between them from now on. So maybe Buck had just been paranoid thinking that his kiss would reveal how in love he was with Eddie.
Giving it a try, he reached up and pulled Eddie back to him. Their lips met again and this time they kissed with a gentle passion that took Buck's breath away.
Eddie pulled back again a moment later, eyebrows drawn together in a frown. "Are you sure? You said… You said no kissing."
"I know," Buck said, fingers playing with the ends of Eddie's hair at the nape of his neck. "I've changed my mind."
hits different - jealous buck
"I have a date this Friday," Eddie said with a shy smile. Hen and Chim immediately starting crowing excitedly, but Buck felt his blood freeze in his veins.
"You what?"
Eddie looked over at him, his smile faltering. "Uh, yeah. Her name's Mabel."
Buck stared at him, trying to swallow down the sour taste stuck in his throat. He needed to say something supportive, smile, tell Eddie that it was fine. He needed to be happy for his best friend, but he couldn't bring himself to.
"Buck?" Hen asked with a frown, leaning over the bench towards him. "You okay?"
"Don't go," Buck burst out.
kiss your best friend passionately
"Would you passionately kiss your best friend for one hundred dollars?" Chimney read from his phone.
"Are you kidding?" Buck exclaimed, slapping a hand down on the table. "I'd do it for free!"
Eddie looked up as Buck swivelled towards him on his chair. Then, before Eddie had time to react, Buck had grabbed hold of his shirt and pulled him into a kiss.
to the core
I am honestly so excited for this one but I think it's gonna take me a while to finish because I really wanna get it PERFECT you know?
Switching the TV off, Buck stared in stunned silence. He remembered seeing Eddie talking to the reporter during that call, but hadn't thought much of it. Eddie rarely spoke to the press and when he did his words were usually clipped and awkward.
But this…
What Buck and I have goes beyond friendship and I love him to the core.
It wasn't anything that Buck didn't already know, and yet the way it had been phrased made it impossible for him to shrug off. No one had ever told Buck they loved him to the core before. To the core meant all of him, the good and the bad. The things he wanted people to see and the things he didn't want anyone to see.
And Buck knew that; he'd always known that Eddie saw him and loved him for exactly who he was. But hearing it spelled out like that?
Suddenly it all felt much more real.

I would looove to read some steamy buck x eddie. Could you maybe write something about them that starts with accidental touches, kisses, domestic moments... they don't even realize but the other 118s notice? And then it develops from there? 🥰
Hi! Thanks so much for the request. I had a lot of fun with this one! I wouldn't necessarily describe it as steamy as I haven't written smut before but I hope you like it still.
It was no secret that both Buck and Eddie were tactile creatures.
After a particularly rough shift, Eddie wanted nothing more than to hold his son close, tucked under his chin. He grew up surrounded by tactile women placing maternal kisses to his forehead or pinching his cheeks. Eddie found comfort and connection in the physical.
Buck didn't have the same relationships as Eddie growing up. Maddie's gentle embraces and ruffles to his messy, boyish curls stopped once she left home. Comforting physical contact was rare for Buck, usually only coming in the form of a sympathetic nurse cleaning him up after one of his many stunts.
Buck's 118 family had quickly picked up on how touch-starved he was. How he would light up from a clap on the shoulder by Bobby, how he would duck his head in mock annoyance to hide his pink cheeks and rye smile when Chimney ruffled his overgrown hair, how he would unknowingly lean in to Hen's motherly touch as she cleaned his wounds.
So, when Eddie had joined the team and became Buck's partner, Bobby, Hen and Chim had been pleased to see that the new member would also provide the much needed physical contact to their youngest teammate and not shun him.
What they had not quite expected, however, was the sheer level of contact the two men would maintain. As if Buck had found his opposing magnet pole. They couldn't go far without crashing back into each other. Hen and Chimney had conducted an observation over a series of weeks to see if the boys could go one shift without physically touching one another. The results were conclusive with no anomalies
Greetings were always performed in a wide armed hug. Nods were always accompanied by a bump of one wrist to another. Reassurances were always made with a hand resting on a shoulder.
Yet, things had started to seemingly…progress.
The touches were becoming more frequent. More meaningful. Often accompanied by intense eye contact.
The 118 were familiar with the sight of Buck and Eddie's sides being plastered together and they sat side by side in the truck, but now they were finding ways to sit so that their legs were a tangled pretzel.
Maybe it was because they had experienced so many close calls. Seen the other so nearly be snatched away from them. Touch had become grounding for them both. A reminder that the other was still with them. A reminder that they themselves were still alive after everything.
Eddie had quickly learned that in order to truly get through to Buck in times of anxiety or distress, he required physical contact. Eddie's preferred method of contact was a heavy hand placed on Buck's shoulder, just over his clavicle where he could stroke his thumb over the bare skin of Buck's neck if he needed to, much like after the tsunami.
Buck in turn, knew that he could bring Eddie out of his thoughts with a warm hand on his thigh just above the knee. Sometimes it would be a quick tap, other times his hand would linger. On the night that Eddie had tearfully destroyed his bedroom, Buck had put his hand on Eddie's thigh, who then placed his own shaking and battered hand over the top as he wept.
The development had been so natural, so gradual, that neither man had noticed. Or cared to.
Not until one evening where Buck had been over at the Diaz house baking cookies for Chris' class. He'd finished baking, packaged the treats away, watched a movie with his Diaz boys, and went to make his way home just as Eddie announced bedtime for Christopher. Buck stood to say goodnight to Chris as he always did, still privileged enough to get a hug from the teen, and placed a quick kiss to the top of the boy's hair. Swiftly, Buck pulled an arm around Eddie too, placed a quick peck to the man's cheek, and bid farewell as he walked out the door.
Buck drove home.
Eddie tucked Christopher into bed.
Buck locked his front door.
Eddie changed into an old shirt for bed.
Buck adjusted his pillows.
Eddie closed his eyes.
Buck closed his eyes.
"Oh, shit." Both whispered.
The following day, with Chris at school packed up with cookies, Buck knocked on the Diaz residents. He was shifting from foot to foot and couldn't seem to shake the jittery feeling in his chest that vibrated all the way to his fingertips.
Eddie answered, smiling brightly at Buck and opening the door wider to invite Jim inside.
"You could have used your key." Eddie called over his shoulder.
"You always say that."
"You always forget to use your key."
They sassed each other as normal. Buck felt far from normal, hand still clenching and unclenching at his sides.
Eddie offered Buck a drink. Buck accepted. They sat side by side on the couch.
"So…" Buck started.
"What's up?" Eddie responded, seemingly oblivious.
"Um…when I- I left last night… you know when I said goodnight to ch-Chris it was just, you know automatic. Sorry. I just wanted to say sorry if I was w-weird or anything. I was just tired and on autopilot when I…you know when I kissed your cheek." Buck rambled and distracted his hands by taking a sip of his drink.
Eddie laughed and made an effort to put on a blasé facade, "Buck, don't even worry about it. Do you know how many times I have hung up the phone to the cable guy and said 'I love you', or sent kisses in a text to Chim?"
Buck laughed, relaxing slightly. Maybe he hadn't messed everything up, "Okay, cool. Thanks. Sorry, again."
They resumed their scheduled plan of watching TV together. Just as normal, their legs were pressed together from ankle to hip. Buck held his drink in his right hand, leaving his left relaxed on his left thigh. Eddie had placed his drink on the coffee table, meaning his hands were also resting in his lap.
Eddie lifted his right hand to move a piece of hair out of his face, and when he replaced it to his side, the backs of their hands were touching.
Neither looked away from the television but both were painfully aware.
Buck twitched his index finger.
Eddie stroked his thumb over it.
Purposeful.
"It was nice."
Buck finally looked away from the TV but Eddie was still facing forward. "Pardon?"
"It was nice." Eddie repeated.
"What was nice, Eds?" He needed to hear him say it.
Eddie finally turned to face Buck, "I liked your kissing me. Granted…wasn't how I imagined it. But it was nice."
Buck smirked and leaned forward, dropping his voice lower, emboldened by what Eddie had said, "and how did you imagine it?"
"Well…" Eddie matched the gravel in Buck's voice, "you wouldn't have planned one on my cheek, that's for damn sure."
"Where would you have me plant it instead?" Buck looked between Eddie's full lips and to the warm chocolate of his eyes. From this close, Buck was able to see every one of Eddie’s eyelashes fanning onto his cheeks and eyelids.
"Buck…" Eddie all but growled, one hand gripping the back of Buck's neck and applying a gentle squeeze.
"Eds," Buck whispered teasingly.
"Kiss me. Now, Buckley."
And with that, Buck placed his lips to Eddie's, and it was like finally giving in to the magnetic pull that had been set in motion all those years ago.
They moved easily and with coordination the same way they did when working together. They were always so aware of the other's presence.
Greedy hands ran over each other, squeezing, pulling, grasping.
Breaking away for air, Eddie held Buck in place with his signature hand on the shoulder, thumb unashamedly stroking across his thrumming pulse point.
"I am so in love with you Evan Buckley. Jesus, how long have I been in love with you?"
"Probably about as long as I have been in love with you, Eddie Diaz."
"Did you know?"
"I don't know. I didn't think so but…it all seems so obvious now. How did we miss this?" Buck asked with a breathless laugh.
"We're idiots?" Eddie offered.
"Well then, I'm your idiot. And you are mine."
"Deal."
Eddie and Buck spent plenty of time over the next few weeks discovering just how tactile they could be with each other.

“Oh no,” Ravi says — squeaks, almost — as he stares out of the locker room. He hasn’t looked this scared since — well, since the first time he dealt with Buck with a clipboard in his hands and a steely determination in his eyes.
“How does he always end up with one of those?” Hen says, looking over Ravi’s shoulder.
“Could we make a run for it?” Ravi whispers. “Hide out in the supply closet between calls?”
Eddie slams his locker door — not hard, just normally — and they both jump. “You know he’ll find you,” he says. He almost feels bad watching them deflate in defeat. “Best just to face him now.”
“Or,” Hen says as she turns towards him, a sweet but devious smile growing, “you could face him first for us.”
Ravi nods from behind her. “He likes you better anyway.”
“I should hope so.” Eddie looks over for himself and sees Buck talking very sternly with two new B shift probies, both of whom looked less pale during the high rise five alarm they faced a couple days ago.
He bites back a laugh. It’s kind of funny when you’re not the one on the business end of the clipboard.
“Fine,” he sighs back toward the other two. “But you guys are taking over my chores for the next week.”
“Deal,” Hen says. “You better hurry before Adams and Lazaro quit.”
He rolls his eyes as he heads toward the truck bay, coming up behind Buck as the probies scamper off with their tasks in hand, Buck’s yell of “I want those chairs in straight lines, you two!” following after them. Eddie places his hands on Buck’s hips, and when he whips around to face him, he can see curls coming out of their gelled hold and a flush high on Buck’s cheekbones he only gets when he’s genuinely stressed.
“There you are!” He doesn’t shake Eddie’s grip on his waist, but he brings the clipboard up right between them. “We still need to find the extra coolers and IV poles, and there should be an extra box of needles in the closet. Where are Hen and Ravi? I need them to go pick up the snacks, plus goody bags still need to be stuffed, and there’s also—”
Eddie doesn’t let him finish — he gently grabs his shoulders and pulls him forward, close enough to drop a kiss on his cheek, his nose, the other cheek, finally landing on his lips It’s gentle, just a reassurance, a reminder that Eddie is here to help and support him, even if he’s spiraling, and Eddie can tell this spiral is getting a little deep.
Thankfully, it doesn’t take long for Buck’s shoulders to relax underneath his palms, but there’s still something tensing his jaw when Eddie pulls away to look at him properly.
“Are you okay? You’re more drill sergeant-y than usual.”
Buck shrugs, and Eddie runs his hands down his arms to tangle their fingers together, ducking down to force him to meet his eye. “Buck,” he prods.
Buck sighs. “I’m fine.” He looks up, finally. “Just— Chimney ran this blood drive so well for so long, and he’s trusted me with it, and the pediatric hospital really needs us to hit our goal, and—“ He swallows, tips of his ears turning pink to match his cheeks. “I just want everything to go perfectly.”
Eddie pulls him in for another kiss, relieved to feel the hint of a smile against his lips. “It’s probably not going to be perfect,” he says as they break apart, and Buck looks close to murder again. “But,” he adds, “that doesn’t mean it won’t be great. You’re clearly putting your heart and soul into this. That’s what will make it a success.”
Buck scrunches his nose at him. “That was really cheesy.”
“I know,” Eddie smiles, “did it help?”
A matching smile. “Yeah.”
“Good.” Eddie kisses him one more time, for good measure, before peaking at the clipboard. “The coolers are out back, I’ll hose them down and bring them inside.”
“Thank you,” Buck says, standing taller and looking lighter. They both turn when they see Hen and Ravi come over, slowly, like they’re afraid to spook a sleeping bear.
“Hey guys,” Buck says in a distinctly less clipboard influenced tone of voice. “Do you mind doing a snack run? There’s an order of cookies ready at the store down the block, you should be able to get everything else there too.”
“Uh,” Hen says tentatively. “Sure?”
“Awesome, thanks so much for the help.” He checks the clipboard again, reaching out to squeeze Eddie’s hand one more time. “I’m gonna go find the extra needles, come find me when the coolers are set up?” Eddie nods and definitely does not preen at the sunny smile he gets in return.
But he does lean in to kiss Buck on the cheek again. “Love you,” he murmurs.
“Love you back,” Buck says. He disappears to the back supply closets, patting Hen and Ravi in the shoulders as he goes. They both gape after him for a minute before turning back to Eddie.
“You have got to teach us how to do that,” Ravi says.
“Sorry,” Eddie shrugs as he walks backward toward the garage door. “Husband privileges only.”

Seriously I just love the tema all being together again 🥰🥰🥰.
AHHHH so glad everything worked out :D.
Okay so! That's the end of my last little bits of live blogging, time for the. . .
REVIEW
I loved this episode!! It was a bit stressful with what Bobby was going through and a, but overall a pretty chill and happy finale :). Which, given the Lone Star finale, lol, we needed.
AND YES, I KNOW I'M WAAYYYYY LATE, I'M SORRY XDD. Honestly I knew what I wanted to say (though I did rewatch it to make sure I got everything) but I just kept putting off putting it down xD. But I'm here now, and I promise, I'm going to rewatch and finish liveblogging (ish) about The Good Doctor and write reviews for it and Lone Star, lol xD. Anyway!
The calls. We had a funny one, with a bit of a scare, a gross/scary one, and a sad one! What a great trifecta :'). Good tears for the selection but bad tears for. Yk, the selection xD. Like, the sad one mostly, lol. Still, they were really good and I enjoyed them, especially the last one :). Even if it was sad 😭.
Also this is probably gonna be a pretty short review lol, same for the others, I'm just having motivation struggles right now and there's other things I need spoons for xdd.
Hen and Karen!! Honestly I understand why Karen would feel that way (not personally but yk lol) but I'm glad she can move past it :)). AHHH I'M STILL SO GLAD ANTONIA CAN BE THERE THIS TIME THOUGH :'DDD!! It's just so nice that she can be there for the renewal of their vows :)), plus all the other new members of the family! Or even if they didn't invite the 118 the first time lol. If I'm remembering the timeline correctly Hen was already working there when they got married, but idk lol. I still don't know if they were close enough back then, though xD. And even so, the only one probably there at the time was Chimney. But anyway!! Such sweet scenes, and a great way to end the season :).
Maddie! So glad she's back to work :). I missed her so much, and now that May's going to college - AHH!! Good for May!!!! Anyway, we need another dispatcher, and who better than our girl :D. Glad to have her back 🥰🥰. Also, I still think we're gonna get Madney again 👀. Like, oh, yeah, respect them and all, blah blah blah I do I do. But like 👀. I'm just saying XD.
YESSSSSSSSSSS BUCK TAYLOR BREAKUP WHOOOOOOOOOH!!!!! I am so happy right now 🥰🥰🥰. And honestly? I don't hate her, so I'm glad it wasn't a super messy breakup. They just had a fight and realized they couldn't do this anymore, that it wasn't working. I'm so proud of Buck :)). He's already tried to drag the relationship out, this season even, and now he's doing the mature thing. I'm glad :)).
But I'm sure they're doing it to put him with Lucy and like NAHH 😭😭😭. Give me BUDDIEEE!! I don't deserve this 😭😭😭.
Also, season wise, really proud of Eddie :')). He's gone through a lot this season (as they all do every season, but you know, lol), but now he's finally going regularly to therapy and making steps to improve his mental health. Good for him :). Also, as always, Christopher is adorable 😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰. And the most awesome and supportive son ever 😭😭😭😭🥰🥰🥰🥰. Like honestly that little "talking about it helps" scene? AGGHHHHH so amazing :'DD.
And Eddie going to visit Bobby and explain/lay it all out was really great :'). Honestly I wish he could've stayed for dinner lol.
But that brings me to my final point. Bobby.
My boooooyyyyyyyy 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭. He is suffering SO. MUCH. Like, seriously, he was blaming himself for everything? Dang. I feel like he wasn't doing it the whole time, but it started to rack up by the end. He was like "wait, thinking about all this other stuff too" in the last bit of the season, but pushed the guilt aside earlier on. Oof. Just, oof. And AHHHHHHH THE POURING OUT OF THE ALCOHOL BOTTLEEEEE!!!! I like lost my mind lol. Although I think I didn't even realize he probably bought it to drink and then Eddie showed up and he changed his mind until I rewatched it to write this review lol, not that he just bought it to have the power and assurance of pouring it down the drain XDD. Although I was scared there for a moment, like, super scared XD, until I realized, and then I believe I thought the second option there lol. Anyway, I'm so glad he did (pour it out) and that he's feeling a bit better now 🥰🥰🥰. And AHH Bathena vacation!!! Honestly just good for them :')). They deserve it :p.
Overall, I really loved the episode. And the season! The character moments were great, it didn't need to be too epic or dramatic, it was just good and nice with a happy ending :). Like I said, everyone was great, the calls were great, and it just felt like a good season ending. For a wonderful season, or course :).
So yeah! I absolutely loved the episode. I'm excited for the next one - though this time it'll be a much longer wait lol. This has been my review for. . .
9-1-1: Season 5, Episode 18: Starting Over
