#obvi Binghe guys come on
Text
my brain: what if Vegas but Luo Binghe-style demon blood?
also my brain: how would that work in the KinnPorsche part of the storyline?
By which I mean: when would Kinn give Porsche his blood - on the boat ride or only once he's actually agreed to the contract?
Is there a bodyguard initiation like there most likely was under Tianlang-Jun and Bingge's respective rules where they swear to the family and voluntarily do it.
How does that work for the individual kids - there is a general bodyguard/security corps who would presumably be linked to Korn and I'm guessing most of the guards would be sworn to the family in general BUT the individual kids, especially the heir, would want their own guards who are loyal to them first. Assuming most of these guys - Big, Ken, Pol, Arm, Pete - get promoted from general guard to bodyguard, how would that work in this hypothetical?
The only solution I can come up with is that there must be a way to remove the blood you've already taken that doesn't rely on relative strength. Unless that's the test but I don't think Korn would be all that pleased for his sons to be actually stronger than him until after he's gone. He'd say he was proud obvi but he'd actually hate it because it would mean he was no longer in full control.
(Tankhun can totally take him at this point. So can Kinn but he hasn't tried because deep down he knows it will gain his dad's respect but lose his love. Kim, maybe not but it's a case of not yet or not consistently, he'll get there eventually).
All this to say there is a procedure. If you get hired as security, it's as general security to start - you swear in to the family via Korn's blood and then if you do well and are patient and show the right skills, you might get promoted into one of the main family's bodyguard crews. At which point there is a whole ritual where Korn's blood gets removed and you take the blood of your primary family member.
This is also supposed to happen when the boys swap guards, since it's a relatively low-key procedure (none of the staff carries enough of the family blood parasites from their oath ceremonies to be in any kind of danger when they get removed).
This is all to headcanon an extra way that Porsche pisses the other guards off merely by existing because he does not follow the procedure and then he isn't even grateful about it. He gets recruited directly by Kinn, on Korn's orders, into Kinn's personal guard; rather than applying and having to work his way up. Kinn gives him to Tankhun but they don't do the transfer ritual for all that he says it's supposed to be a permanent thing, or at least long enough term that they should do it, by the family's own rules.
(Tankhun knows he should offer but also it's annoying and it's not like he's going to order Pete to hurt Kinn and he trusts Kinn not to do the same with Porsche, the whole thing is mostly theatre between the two of them anyway and always has been)
Anyway, I don't know but this whole thing would have an effect on canon because Kinn would feel Porsche getting drunk at the product opening and be able to burn the alcohol out (he'd still get punished for it because: unprofessional) and ditto the drug at the diamond auction (maybe or maybe it can't all be burned out, for whatever reason), plus healing wounds etc
Then Vegas gets to be the mirror where he uses it to cause harm, etc, which is where we started this little exercise
