We all hate the love triangle and all that but I do have a proposition for you;

It gets far more light hearted and fun if you are of the mind the Kai and Cole are a few years older than Nya and Jay. Now the dynamic is less that of an affair and more so a teenage girl realizing her older brother's friend is hot

And I feel like most gals will agree on this phase

Cole's perspective I think is more so that he's upset with Jay for not taking it up with Nya herself, so he's fighting his friend's kinda toxic behavior and not for Nya's affection. Cause let's be honest- in no way did he have a crush on her even in the show
