Okay woah, starting off, these are some pretty impressive placements! just looking at them, you def could be someone who gains a lottttt in life. let's dig a lil deeper.

ascendant in virgo:

i place virgo on the service axis with pisces, which is cool because your moon rests in pisces. it shows me you have an internal longing to help others (moon) and you are usual able to carry this out via a practical approach (ascendant). because of this, you may come across as someone who talks the talk and walks the walk. virgo ascendants usually come across as very sure of themselves and very competent. think managerial roles. HOWEVER, you COULD sometimes come across as bossy. not necessarily that that's how you mean to be, but because you think you know the best way to go about doing things and you want others to be able to see it from that perspective as well. you could also come across as very technical- if you want to know about something, you REALLY dive into it so you're able to deeply think about it and apply what you've learned.

i saw this a lot, but i feel like leos get a bad rep. leos tend to be the star of the show (either in person or in their head lol), but not from a place of vanity. leos tend to find themselves as important people, but it's because of their INDIVIDUALITY that they see themselves as having a lot to offer to the world. leos tend to be very individualistic and like to encourage others to shine as well. it's likely that you're a hype-girl type of friend, and others love being around you because of this. you're able to see the good, quirky things in others even if they can't see it themselves. you are most likely pretty quirky yourself <3

i think this placement is actually really good for chan the more i think about it. chan struggles a lot with his individuality, trying to balance it with what he thinks others want from him. leos are less likely to care about what others think. you could help him embrace his uniqueness and let him shine against what the rest of the world may think.

(This is a story about the events of Clay's death from the perspective of Aaron)

"And we think it should be you."

His words felt like they were echoing in my head, me? The new leader? He can't be serious

"Hah! Nice one Clay. i know you're not gonna die. Merlock will find a spell, and it's going to be fine."

They both exchange a glance. They must be committed to the bit

"Aaron, i am afraid i can not find a spell in time."

"And that's why we're telling you this, if anything happens to me, i trust you to lead the team."

What kind of joke is this?

"Clay, you're not gonna die you- you're joking, right? Please tell me this is a joke."

He doesn't say a word

"Clay! This is a joke, right?!"

"I'm sorry, Aaron, but it's true Clay doesn't have much time left."

I must be dreaming

"But-"

This is just a nightmare

"But you-"

I grab both of his shoulders, trying to shake sense into him

"Clay, you can't die, We need you. I need you."

He's silent for what feels like the longest minute ever, then he finally says something

"I'm sorry, Aaron."

This can't be

This is Clay we're talking about he can't die,

right?

I can feel my eyes starting to tear up, and it looks like Clay noticed it too cause he took me in for a hug

"I know this is a lot to take in right now."

I can't find anything to say it's hard to find the right words when I'm holding back tears

Even Merlock doesn't say anything, the room is completely quiet before Clay breaks the silence

"Aaron, can i trust you to lead the team once I'm gone?"

I pull my face out of his shoulder to look at him

Being a leader? It's certainly something I haven't tried before, but am i really up for the job? I'm sure Macy would be a better leader, but Clay is asking me?

I don't wanna let him down, but I don't know anything about being a leader. I'm supposed to tell others what to do and schedule team training? That's what Clay does

He's been waiting for my answer long enough. i have to say something

Alright, no matter how hard being a leader might be, I'll have to try

For Clay

"Yes."

He gives me a slight smile

"And one more thing."

Merlock's voice surprised me. i forgot he was here

"Try not to bring this up to the others. The less they know, the better."

I just found out Clay is probably going to die, and he expects me to act like nothing happened?! Lance is the actor, not me!

Then again, he is right. i wouldn't want the rest of the team to find out either

"I'll do my best."

"Thank you, Aaron."

Merlock zaps away it's just me and Clay now

"Aaron, one last thing."

Clay gives me a quick kiss on the cheek

"I know you can do this. I believe in you."

He gets into his mech suit and gives me a smile before he leaves

Now it's just me alone in the room

I... I need to sit

Clay is going to die soon, I'll be the leader when that happens, and they want me to be quiet about this?

This is even more pressure than the Knights Academy

And to think that someone I've known this long is going to die soon...

I woke up hoping that it was just my imagination that Clay is fine and that i made it all up, but Clay took me aside and asked

"Still feeling down about last night?"

"Last night?"

"Um yeah? Last night?"

"Ooooh, that last night! The one that wasn't my imagination or a dream or a prank, yep, I'm totally chill about it."

"Are you... sure?"

"Yeah, dude, I've never been more sure about something in my life!"

Luckily for me, Clay has always been bad at telling when someone is lying

"Well, I'm glad you're feeling ok. i was getting worried that i might be putting a lot of pressure on you."

"Pressure? Please, this is nothing. I've been under more pressure when i was in the academy."

I'm probably digging myself into a hole

"In fact, I'm so chill if monsters attacked right now I'd easily beat them without stressing out."

Why am i still talking

"Sorry to interrupt you, lovebirds-"

Luckily, Lance is here to stop me from digging myself into an even deeper hole

"-but Jestro's monsters are attacking we need to go"

Ah shit i jinxed it

We're all on our way to Jestro's army now but it's ok i can do this so what if there's a lot of monsters i can easily defeat them it's not like they can outnumber me or anything i can definitely do this i can do it

Why is this happening! All these thoughts racing through my head are making it hard to focus and do these monsters ever end?

Every time i get rid of one ten more appear, how will i be a leader if i can't even hold my own in a fight

Before i can react, i am hit by an attack that knocks me off my shield

I try to quickly get up and hold back the incoming monsters, but then i realise that i don't have my bow

Damn it, it must have gotten lost when i fell. What do i do now

I am trying to find my bow and shield in a sea of monsters, but they're not gonna let me get away that easily

"AARON!"

Clay shields me from a monster that was about to hit

"What are you doing?"

"I can't find my shield and bow."

"Hey, isn't that your shield over there?"

Lance points at the ground, beneath the monsters is my shield

I go running trying to catch my shield before it slips away, but I'm not fast enough it keeps getting kicked around by monsters

While trying to get my shield, i hear Macy talking

"Merlock, we need a nexo scan."

No, not now. I'm still ruining after my shield like and I've yet to find my bow

I can hear the peeping of the nexo signal i am running out of time, and my shield is just within my reach if only i was quick enough

"Peep"

Come on, come on

"Peep"

Almost got it

"Peep"

There!

I grab my shield and raise it in the air just in time for a scan

I'm still without my bow, but at least i can defend myself now

I am now looking for my bow while the others are fighting the monsters

Sorry guys, I'll help once i find my bow

I see a yellow glow on the corner of my eye, could it be? It is my bow!

I go to grab my bow. Now it's time for a fight

"Alright, monsters, get ready for a-"

But as soon i turn around, i see Jestro and his monsters running away. The fight is already over, and all i did was run around like a fool

Axl puts a hand on my shoulder

"Where were you the whole fight? I didn't see you flying it's not like you to not fly around. "

"I uh i though i might try fighting on the ground for a change"

Axl can tell that it's a lie, but he doesn't care enough to ask more questions

Clay, however, is glancing at me

It's not a look of disappointment nor anger it's a look of concern he knows I'm panicking he doesn't say anything tho none of us does it's gonna be hard to convince him that I'm fine after this

I can imagine the look on their faces when i tell them I'm going to the library it's hilarious even i can't believe it. i haven't set foot in a library since the academy days

And now that I'm in a library once again, I'll have to say it's as boring as i remember

I hate this place it's always quiet, and the people here are killjoys. i gotta find a good book and leave as soon as possible

But which to choose? "Leadership 101"? "The leaders guide to success"? "How to be a great leader"?

All of them are so long, and none of them have pictures. Can i even finish reading a single one before Clay dies

oof. favorite part of what are you waiting for? I'm not actually sure yet but I can tell you for sure that my LEAST favorite part is trying to FIGURE OUT THEIR STUPID TIME TRAVEL TIMELINE WHY WOULD I DO THAT TO MYSELF AURGRRGHRGUHGRH

okay no. no I'm normal I can be normal (<- lie). My favorite part is actually probably something that someone else pointed out to me, which is that Jason seems really young in it? Like. he actually feels like a nineteen year old. He's reckless and lost and terrified and he feels guilty and he just wants to fix this thing that he feels like he fucked up. And I just really like how he turns all of it into determination.

17. What fic are you most proud of?

It feels weird answering this question with an unfinished fic, but probably What Are You Waiting For. There's just something I really really love about the way that it flows. Honorable mention to I Know What My Brother Is, I'm really loving some of the lines I've put in that piece!!

19. Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

Bruce, honestly. I can only write him as like, crack treated seriously or hurt/no comfort. I sort of feel like maybe I should challenge myself and write him as more of an in-depth character one of these days? That might actually be interesting.

23. If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?

OOOOH INTERESTING!! Honestly, You Hear His Voice Once and You Know It Again. I actually plan to remix it as a longer fic, but I also think it would just be super interesting from Tim's perspective!

18. What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.

adjflkads this was really fun to write out but also it got way out of hand so I'm putting it under a read more

Tim snorts. “Sorry, sorry. I’m just trying to picture Damian Wayne walking into a bodega with a sword strapped to his back, digging through his pockets for enough change to afford his morning cup.”  (Look, I love when Tim is an asshole, okay? And I love that like. He's mad at Damian, but this is the line where it goes from mocking to teasing) A smile curls across Damian’s lip, against his will. He is powerless to prevent it. (And this is the line where Damian feels that, where this gets a little bit softer again, and I love that he just can't fucking resist Tim even a LITTLE) “The owners are middle eastern. It can be nice to have a conversation in Arabic, every once in a while.”  There’s a pause before Tim answers him. “How do you take your coffee?” he asks in Arabic. (ajfkldfklas the way that Tim is like. He's just as bad as Damian, actually. He can't fucking help it. He wants to be angry SO bad, and he IS angry, but like. He can't stay mad??? He just cares about Damian too much. He keeps trying to force his walls to stay up and they just keep sliding down every time) “Black,” Damian responds in Arabic, that same feeling he always gets when he gets to rest his English. Like collapsing onto his bed after an especially long day, remembering that his comforter and sheets and pillows were waiting for him. “I didn’t know you missed speaking Arabic.”  “I didn’t know you spoke Arabic.”  “Yes, you did,” Tim snaps, abruptly switching back to English. “You knew.” (Andddddd this. I love that Tim calls Damian out on his bullshit. Someone said something to me about Tim using honesty as a weapon, and I love that he does. Like, I'm always a sucker for Nightwing/Red Hood where Red Hood is the only one who really knew Nightwing from before and I love applying it to them. I also love how like, every time they find a groove in their conversations, Damian steps on a landmine and it makes Tim snap) “…not when I would have had an occasion to use it.”  “An occasion, are you kidding me? Any time you wanted. Any time you wanted to walk into the manor and say anything to me, you know I would have listened. I would have done anything for you, don’t you get that?” (The way it's just so obvious that Tim was in love with him I'm 😭😭😭 I also love the way that Tim reminds Damian that he would have done anything for him when Damian really actively is thinking "I'll do anything for Tim" like all of the time (you know I might not have published those bits yet but it is a recurring theme in the 23k more words I have lol)) Damian sighs at himself. Why is he even doing this? Every time he thinks he feels an opening, Tim slams the door on his fingers. (aurghrgh I love this line okay I don't have anything extra it stands for itself I love it) “Yes, I know,” he breathes.  “You are infuriating to talk to, you know that?”  “Yes,” Damian answers. (LMAO the way he's so self aware) “Why are you staying on the phone with me?” “Because you—” Tim groans, and Damian feels like an intruder in the pause that follows. (not to suck my own dick but like. I think this line about how Damian feels really communicates Tim's feelings in this moment better than anything I could have written from Tim's perspective. Like. If I said he sounded frustrated or irritated or whatever it wouldn't have worked as well, because the line as it is points out specifically that the thought that Tim was going to voice was a private, personal one that he doesn't really want to share but he started to because it's true, and he's frustrated about that and he's frustrated about the thought and augrhrugrh I'm really into that line) “You always make me want more than I can have.”  (AJDSFLKAS I'M SO PROUD OF THIS LINE. Not only because it sums them up perfectly and like pinpoints EXACTLY where Tim is when it comes to Damian, but like. This line is so important to the fic. Remember it. Remember this moment. I'm not going to spoil it but fkjjka don't forget this line!!!)

✨Path of Stars - What character needs more love?

I have to say Frostpaw's littermates, Mistpaw and Graypaw. I've seen someone recently point out that Frostpaw's extended family are shaping up to be important players in the RiverClan plot: her mom Curlfeather got that death at the end of River and uttered her cryptic "Trust no cat", her grandma Duskfur seems like she's up to something, her uncle Owlnose had his brief stint as RiverClan's ineffectual leader, and so on. So it is a little weird to me how little we've gotten on her brother and sister. They certainly are getting a better deal than most other background extras, they showed up in Sky with some regularity, but if this murder mystery is going to involve the whole family I feel like they need to be fleshed out more. Yet another reason for me to root for them becoming developed characters eventually.

🍃The Apprentices Quest - Do we need StarClan?

Do the Clans need StarClan? At this point I honestly sometimes think they'd be better off weaning themselves off the clingy ghosts and start over with their society. But as a reader I do think they're a big part of the series' identity. I'd want them to have both a more subdued and more prominent presence in the seires. I want them to meddle less and for us to look into the goings on of them less often (abolish StarClan prologues!), but at the same time I want to see the religion play a bigger role in day to day life for Clan cats. I want to see more of a window into religious practices, I want it to feel more important to them in the mundanities of religiosity. Something like Garry Kilworth did in his book The Foxes of Firstdark, do y'all remember when I live read it right here on the blog?

🌑Lost Stars - Favourite character + why

Jayfeather! I have many reasons to like him. For one I'm attracted to the asshole with a chip on their shoulder archetype. I find his perspective to be interesting to read about. He has interesting family relationships, particularly to his siblings which captivates me as someone obsessed with sibling dynamics in fiction. He represents a really interesting writing challenge with all the myriad readily apparent flaws in how his story was handled. And above all he just captures my imagination. That's ultimately what it comes down to, he's my favorite because I enjoy spending time reading and thinking and talking about him the most.

☁️A Light in the Mist - You can rewrite the warrior code- what do you change?

I think the code is mostly fine as-is even if certain provisions strike me as too friendly. I'd like the Clans to remain antagonistic to one another for the sake of the continued drama. Collaboration and cooperation are fine to a point but if they're drifting to a more peaceable status quo it begins to feel pointless you know? But the biggest code I'd implement would be rather than a clearly ennunciated numbered list, the code should be vaguer, certain principles of it agreed upon all clans but disparately interpreted and applied across the four clans.

I think we're due a soft reboot and that would be a fantastic opportunity for implementing the StarClan and warrior code changes. Fast forward us to a point all currently alive characters have died. Give us a fresh cast. Worldbuild the future clans from the ground up and you've got a perfect place to start fresh. A clean slate will also let them avoid digging their grave further regarding certain controversial elements such as the tangled family tree or the writers parading the corpses of formerly beloved characters who've outstayed their welcome. I just think it's a neat idea.
