Hi👋 love your storys as first, and I have an small request, how would earthspark characters, even the decepticons, react to thare s/o, partner, gn reader having an dragon Alt mode that is bigger and more bulkier than Grimlock but smaller than tham in general and...
🥰DROP🥰
❤️‍🔥DEAD❤️‍🔥
🫶GORGEOUS🫶
I hope you understood my request and have an good day/night💜💗🌌
Tumblr media
Thank you so much for your kind words! I love your request and am super excited to write it! Here’s how the EarthSpark characters (Autobots, Terrans, and Decepticons alike) would react to their S/O having a gorgeous dragon alt mode:
Autobots
Bumblebee
The moment you transform, Bumblebee freezes mid-step, his optics widening as he takes in the sheer size and majesty of your alt mode.
"Whoa... I mean, I knew you were cool, but this? This is next-level awesome!"
He immediately wants to race you—dragon wings versus his speed. Spoiler: he loses but doesn’t mind because he’s too busy staring at how graceful you look in the air.
Absolutely gushes to the Maltos about you later. "Did you see how incredible they looked? My partner’s got a DRAGON alt mode. I’m officially dating the coolest bot in existence!"
Optimus Prime
Ever the composed leader, Optimus silently admires your transformation. The sheer scale and intricate details of your dragon form earn a soft, approving nod.
"Your form is... remarkable. It inspires both strength and awe. I see why Bumblebee speaks so highly of you."
He’d absolutely call on you during high-stakes battles, confident that your form alone could turn the tide.
Elita-1
Elita whistles low as she circles you, taking in every scale and wing joint.
"Well, aren’t you the shining star of the battlefield? Grimlock better watch out."
Loves sparring with you—testing your strength and dexterity. Always challenges you to see if you can carry her mid-flight.
Terrans
Twitch
Twitch is absolutely starstruck. The first time you transform, she stumbles backward, her optics wide with excitement.
"You’re... a dragon! A real dragon! Can you breathe fire? Can you fly super fast? How big are your wings?!"
Constantly bombards you with questions about your alt mode and begs for rides through the sky.
Thrash
Thrash is immediately hyped. He runs circles around your massive form, shouting praises.
"This is insane! You’re a DRAGON. This is the coolest thing ever!"
Would totally try to jump onto your back for a ride, and when you agree, he makes it a point to yell, “Yeehaw!” like he’s in a Western.
Nightshade
Nightshade’s fascination is purely intellectual at first. They analyze every aspect of your form, intrigued by the mechanics of how your wings fold and the way your tail moves.
"The engineering behind this transformation is exquisite. Did you design it yourself, or is it natural?"
Loves sitting on your back while you fly, though.
Would fly with you in her alt mode.
Jawbreaker
Jawbreaker is in absolute awe. He sees your dragon form as the epitome of strength and grace.
"You look... amazing. Like something out of an old Cybertronian legend."
Wants to spar with you occasionally, though he’s always careful not to overdo it. Loves just hanging out, staring at the stars while you rest your wings.
Hashtag
Hashtag immediately takes a thousand pictures.
"You’re going viral, babe! The internet is going to eat this up!"
Loves riding on your back and getting all the best angles for her "Dragon Date Chronicles." Absolutely brags about you to everyone.
Decepticons
Megatron
Megatron is momentarily taken aback when you reveal your alt mode, but he quickly masks it with a smirk.
"Impressive. Your form commands respect. Use it wisely, and you’ll become a force to be reckoned with."
Secretly thinks you’re the most awe-inspiring bot in the room and sometimes catches himself staring when he thinks you’re not looking.
Soundwave
Soundwave doesn’t speak, but the way he tilts his helm and the faint flicker of his visor shows his intrigue.
Immediately calculates your capabilities in battle and silently approves of your power.
You catch him replaying footage of your transformation later, but he’ll never admit to it.
Starscream
At first, he’s annoyed. "Oh, great, another show-off. As if I needed more competition for attention."
But then he sees how utterly magnificent your form is and gets a bit flustered. "Well... I suppose you are rather impressive."
Secretly jealous but also fascinated. He might ask (in his own roundabout way) if you’d ever team up with him.
Knockout(If he would be in the show)
Knockout is floored. "Darling, you’re an absolute vision! The wings, the scales—perfection!"
He’s obsessed with your aesthetics and is already planning ways to accessorize your dragon form. "Maybe some polished chrome here, a pop of color there..."
Definitely insists on taking you out for a joyride just so everyone can see you two together.

Why I love Earthspark
Spoilers ahead
Female characters treated like people and not weird or afterthoughts
The child characters act like children and not mini adults to please boomers
The Decepticons have more than just Card Carrying Evil
Starscream's abuse is finally taken seriously for once and without woobifying him
Megatron is Scottish
The terrans are cool
NB rep for both terran and human
The main human family are Black American and Filipino
Seriously when was the last tine we saw an interracial pair where both parties are nonwhite?
Dot is a badass, we learn about her as a person, disabled but treated with agency
Alex is also a badass and a bumblebee fanboy, yet we also learn a bit about him
Dot and Alex 🤝 Tom and Maddie = healthy relationships in classic kid properties
Elita is also a badass she's also closer to her personality than the weird trope of making her a villain or fridging her
Bumblebee is a struggling young adult and not a infantilized annoying caricature
Actually his arc seems to be one giant rebuttal against the trend of making him Kid Appeal by having him struggle with being a mentor and dealing with kids
Breakdown is Sonic the Hedgehog
The main human villain is a legitimate threat without being a villain sue or boring
The other main villain is literally named Karen (and also a legit threat)
Optimus Prime is back to being funny and not a overly serious messiah, angry old man, Nerd or cop
Soundwave's revenge bod
Skywarp and Nova Storm are girls and can put up a fight they also have more relevancy than u can say with TFA Blackarachnia
Scratch that Skywarp in animated media again and gets to use her powers
Dot and Mo have natural hair and even wear bonnets
If you look past Mo's rather uncanny design she's actually really cute and lovable
Robby is cool too
Thrash and Twitch hmmm love seeing two characters of both worlds embracing all their heritage
TWITCH'S CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT especially her dynamic with Megatron
He calls her little bird
Nigthshade. Just Nightshade. Cool altmode cool personality, doesn't sugarcoat their identity (it's not 5000% perfect but still very great to see)
Really good message about respecting history while also thinking for yourself and new generation not making those same mistakes
the old generation gets to learn and grow too, the only ones who don't refuses to
Bringing in characters like Tarantulas, Hardtop, basically characters we haven't seen much of
Love how the experiences characters go thru aren't easily wiped away a la Grimlock and Hashtag both experiencing PTSD from the harm inflicted on them and allowed to feel those emotions
Steve Blum is Starscream again but still sounds fresh and not rip Prime beat for best
The cultural details while not 5000% perfect are pretty great like league above past shows
Like you can tell more than one writer of color is in the room
More nonwhite VAs instead of the usual 3-4 max
Angered the ultra conservatives
Thrash is Hunter and Kid Andrias
Jawbreaker is funny as hell I also liked his abilities and dynamic with grimlock.

I finally finished watching TF:EarthSpark S1 (please give me like 2+ seasons) and I have gathered all my thoughts into one silly list
Love how Alex Malto is very Filipino honestly. Like- it's so small but he's very there and he's the only fictional Filipino I've ever seen in anything live-action or animated that didn't originate from the Philipines. My dad was immediately activated when he heard/saw Alex say 'nanay' (my TV was quiet compared to the movie he was watching in the other room) and it makes me insanely happy. Also he's a lot like my dad scarily enough.
Originally I had TF:Cyberverse in my brain as the 'divorced Transformers show' but EarthSpark has much more divorced-exes vibes oml. Megatron with Soundwave and Shockwave, Bumblebee with Breakdown, Tarantulas in general, especially Megan and Sounders
I'm not a fan of humans in TF stories but the Maltos were great- they were woven into the story very well and were also very entertaining! Alex could infodump and had a fun arc with Bumblebee, Dottie and her backstory were great lore-fillers and her mom abilities were silly (there were a lot of dads but only one mom), Robbie and Mo felt like their own characters without overshadowing the Transformers, and the other background humans were generally enjoyable.
On the other hand- Mandroid didn't really stick with me, especially after he came back after his thingy blew up. Dude is practically a zombie- let him die 😭 BUT I'm excited to see what he'll do next season regardless of how little I enjoyed him as the big baddie
This show has so many dads oml. Alex Malto, Optimus Prime, Megatron, Bumblebee, Wheeljack, Tarantulas, Soundwave, where are all these dads coming from?! It's so fun, you get dads in different fonts like silly, casual war vet, PTSD war vet, not-paid enough war vet, new dad war vet, give him another chance war vet, and angry ex!
Starsceam's eyes are blue! It's so random and small but it activates my brain! Is it a design choice or something more?!
We've seen multiple stunticons but never all together in one place. I wonder if we'll get Menasor or not but, regardless, I love this version of Breakdown so much. Dude is so chill and spawned a new ship in my brain QwQ Bumbledown? Breakbee? Those two had very complicated vibes but my non-TF fan sibling agrees with me they have friendly exes energy
TERRANS- I LOVE THEM- ALL OF THEM- THEY'RE SO COOL
The fight scenes were so 💋 smooth and beautiful and I'd marry the fight scenes if they were people
I thought Bumblebee's friend he was chasing down was going to be Blurr because hee hoo I grew up watching TF:Animated and TF:Cyberverse plus Blurr is one of my favorite Transformers
Actually, my brain is infested with Bumblebee × Breakdown because seriously- this show didn't use slowmo scenes until BREAKDOWN SACRIFICED HIMSELF TO LET BUMBLEBEE ESCAPE. WHAT IS THAT?! IT TICKLES ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHIPPING TROPES OF ALL TIME (friends to enemies to lovers) BECAUSE THEY RACED TOGETHER, GOT SEPARATED, BY THE WAR, AND STILL RETURNED TO RACING WITH EACHOTHER HELP ME
Arcee with her classic car-inspired look omg 🛐 she's so cool and pretty besides for her black eye-liner thing. It looks really weird when her eyes are closed but she's very pretty regardless
Addicted to the found-family vibes of this show (It's not a TF series unless there's found family) but the especially traumatic energy of Tarantulas and Nightshade fuels my 4:47 AM mind. Tarantulas literally doesn't care about anything other than keeping this kid safe and can't tell what actually is safe or not and SACRIFICES HIMSELF SO NIGHTSHADE AND THEIR ENTIRE FAMILY CAN ESCAPE. PLEASE DON'T HURT HIM HE JUST WANTS TO LIVE IN PEACE WITH THE COOL KID HE FOUND IN HIS HOUSE ONE DAY
The size differences in this show are immaculate.
After getting kidnapped by Mandroid and cut, Megatron keeps the slice in his shoulder for later episodes and it's so cool that the continuity is there but sir, please patch yourself up! I don't hate it, it looks cool, but your armor is broken!
Please where did Mandroid get the funds to make who knows how many Arachnamechs?! The government/GHOST sure wasn't paying him while he was in his corrupted Howl's Moving Castle evil lab or sitting in his illegal fight ring.
I know the captions call Hashtag 'Hashtag' but she said she didn't have a word for it therefore her name in my brain is actually gonna be #. Just that. #. She deserves it because she's so silly. She has a fake ponytail and headset as part of her head design- it's amazing.
ALSO # MADE A REFERENCE TO "All your base are belong to use" AND I LOVE HER FOR THAT- POP OFF QUEEN
On the topic of design, Nightshade's protoform look was a little uncomfy for me with the helmet leaving their head very exposed and the random 'ear' discs. It felt weird but after they got their alt-mode they've been nothing but beautiful.
Jawbreaker my boy- you don't need an alt-mode to be so silly <3
Reoccurring Fluffy Ears is amazing
Honestly a lot of designs are either hits or misses. Megatron looked perfect to me but Optimus was off with his very flat head and weird faceplate. Like he was missing a forehead and the faceplate itself looked wonky. Soundwave was super pretty, even if his face is one solid color he absolutely rocked that look. I miss the smiley face Cyberverse Bee had on his pelvis area but at least my eyes aren't drawn to EarthSpark Bee's hips lol. Also Wheeljack. They brought back the mustache face but made it white and it feels incredibly silly and cool and scary and weird at the same time.
I think I'm done rambling for now but this might come back later hee hoo

okay so i am gonna gush about my tf oc for a second because i ADORE them with my entire being and i have some Thoughts(tm) about their personality in different continuities
generation 1 - sassy, but generally tries to avoid direct conflict if they can help it. their main use is for recon/spy missions (usually for starscream, since soundwave does a lot of the recon work for megatron.) having a car alt mode can make things more difficult, but they can match colors perfectly, and have no qualms with temporarily painting themselves in said colors in order to blend in. this also means covering their decepticon badge, which they’re fine doing for their job. if they can play themselves off as an unaffiliated cybertronian, it makes their work easier ;)
animated - still fairly sassy, but a little more willing to get into the thick of battle if the need is there. their alt mode is pretty fast, so they’re good for running their quarry into traps that have been laid out. as always, they work very closely with starscream. (keep in mind i haven’t watched tfa at all so this is very, very basic.)
prime - take punk, but make them Feral. knockout’s amica and just an absolute gremlin of a decepticon. want recon done? they’re your bot. they will also defend starscream from megatron at every turn if they happen to be there when it happens. other versions of punk are scared of megs, and rightfully so, but tfp punk has no sense of self-preservation at all. (i also haven’t seen any of tfp yet, pls be nice to me-)
earthspark - HOO BOY so i just got caught up on the first season and i have some IDEAS. punk went into hiding at the end of the war, and has been in hiding for the last... at least decade. probably longer. while they’ve been in hiding, they’ve been trying to find starscream, because of course they have. naturally, punk has been very, VERY careful about keeping themselves out of optimus’ sight - rogue ‘cons are considered a danger, after all. and then, one day, they go “eh, you know what? i wanna enjoy myself and stop being so scared.” which happens to be the day op finally finds them after 10+ years of wondering where the fuck they went. it’s a whole Ordeal.
idw comics (mtmte/lost light mostly) - HOO BOY LET ME TELL Y’ALL ABOUT COMIC PUNK. when i sat down to design them i was doing it, specifically, for the idw comics bc of the rp server i’m in. i knew i wanted to make a decepticon, but i wasn’t entirely sure about their alt mode. my partner was actually the one that brought up the idea of their alt mode being a jaguar-e sports car, and i went “alright bet” and never looked back. i ADORE this version of punk. they find themselves on the lost light, initially, but once shit starts going awry they try to find a way to get back to cybertron. (they eventually succeed in this well before the ship jumps back there itself.) once they’re back on cybertron, they just stay in iacon, helping out wherever they can and absolutely getting enraptured in starscream’s story about how he came to be the rightful ruler of cybertron. everything they do, they do to help him and the people.
quick bullet points that are pretty common throughout: - banter with starscream. he’s their friend and they will absolutely be sassy with him - running recon/spy work for starscream - don’t join the war for cybertron for the first like. 500,000 years. they were really good about keeping a low profile - get recruited by everyone’s favorite air commander <3 - they have feelings for him and it’s so fucking obvious to everyone around them - anywhere that knockout shows up, punk is his amica endura. two funky car ‘cons who race each other sometimes. it’s great

Since Transformers has a bunch of different continuities how does Flatline's story/personality change from universe to universe? (And what universe do you typically imagine him in?)
I love this question I'm so excited to get to talk about the Flatline differences between continuities. Putting it under a cut because this naturally got a bit long
Main/Standard Version
The ‘Main’ version of Flatline uses a mix of Prime and Cyberverse’s canons, so this is also the version of Flatline to use for both those sources. (Although I would like to make a Cyberverse-exclusive design at some point, just for funsies). Follows Flatline’s standard design and history; wrongly-incarcerated field medic turned mad doctor who now sides with the Decepticons. Shockwave’s infatuated lab partner and eventual significant other. Not heaps to say for this version, as I’ve covered a lot of the unique history in other posts.
Robots In Disguise (2015)
Mainly changes in physical design. Flatline’s alt mode got changed from a helicopter to a scorpion, and his right arm was modified so that the entire limb is still a functional syringe but also one of those whip-sword things (apparently they’re called scorpion whips, which, works out perfectly :3), with the arm becoming the tail of the scorpion when he transforms. RID is supposed to be a sequel to Prime, so pretty much everyone knows that by this point Flatline is Shockwave’s partner (it’s most likely mentioned when Flatline shows up as well). Flatline most likely got the body modifications from Shockwave too. I prefer Flatline’s helicopter form, especially for the Prime version, but an animal-based alt mode is fun and I wanted to do it for one of the heavily animal-based TF shows (I’ll be honest, I kinda see RID as a branching-off alternate canon, so I’ll probably think of scorpi-Line similarly)
Earthspark
I had an idea already, but it’s most likely going to be changed once the B-season comes out and I see what Shockwave’s doing (I have theories about what’s going to happen, and it’s not going to be pretty). Currently though: Follows the standard version to begin with, except that part has to be in the past, as the war’s over in the present. Flatline has cut ties with both Autobots and Decepticons, as he doesn’t want anything more to do with their conflict. He’s living in a cosy (albeit bot-sized) laboratory-slash-summer-home, within driving range of Witwicky but out of the way enough that it’s unlikely he’ll get visitors. Flatline’s very happy living there, left alone to his work and in peace.
Transformers Animated
TFA Flatline is a little more erratic in personality, and more eager to get into conflict compared to other versions. His alt mode is also a plane, as TFA actually doesn’t have any helicopter bots (I could change that, but I think it’s a fun detail and I want to stick to it for Flatline). Has a similar arm to his Gen1 version. I can imagine Flatline getting a standalone episode of sorts (a ‘villain of the week’ similar to Nanosec or Soundwave) for his introduction. Flatline came to Earth independently a short period after escaping prison, unaware that any Autobots were on the planet. When he finds out, he specifically goes out of his way to antagonise them. This version of Flatline is unique in that he doesn’t meet Shockwave until later. Flatline gets a few more subsequent run-ins with the Autobots, then he’s captured and shipped back to Cybertron, where he’s interrogated by several high-ranking officials, including Longarm Prime.
Generation 1
The classic continuity, Gen1 Flatline shares the signature blocky shapes, along with some minor personality changes. Gen1 Flatline also doesn’t have a right hand, as his syringe in this version is more of a cabled harpoon that holsters inside his open arm (but it functions mostly the same way). Flatline is still a toxicologist who always has something brewing, but he’s prone to accidental friendly fire, catching his own allies in the blast range. He’s also so so fragile physically, he crumples like paper in a fight as soon as someone can get a hit on him.
