hinata crowing kageyama and having him reclaim the title that has hung over him for so long, giving him the title of king as a compliment and not an insult. they mean everything to me

they're the greatest together, they keep eachother in check and remind the other they do not need to handle everything alone

kenma thinking if he traps hinata and makes him move even slightly less or operate even worse that kageyama won't want to set to him anymore, why would be set to someone who isn't at their full potential when kenma knew kageyama to be like that. and then.

kageyama doesn't even consider that, he knows how good hinata is and all he can think about is helping him because kageyama trusts hinata. there's no player he knows better or trusts more, he's his weapon as much as kageyama is hinata's weapon and so he instead opens the way for him

he no longer demands his hitters to move faster then they need to, he helps them breathe and helps them fly.

kageyama trusts hinata, he tells hinata he can fly higher and now he helps him truly soar because he knows hinata can do it. he's seen him struggle and improve and learn and also hinata was always there for him, so he's here for him. kageyama bursts hinata out of his cage and this is what allows them to win the nekoma match (alongside kenma being so moved by this game and playing along friends he pushed himself too much for the first time)

thinking about their first meeting and how kageyama tells hinata he'll go to nationals and hinata won't but then they only go to nationals because they were on the same team and kageyama set the ball for hinata winning them the point they need :")
