#what I'm reading#this book is very in the weeds but I'd recommend it if you like politics and hearing about how the sausage gets made#and she made some very insightful comments about gender throughout the book#particularly wrt the survivor/first responder dichotomy it's fucked that people who had no choice to go to school or work#in toxic conditions are seen as 'not deserving' of help and that absolutely is gendered
