quick question for y'all when it comes to friends owing friends money, and not like 50 bucks but the more significant ones like $200+ range

if you owed a friend that much what would y'all do to pay it back? do it in installments if it was too much at once, send whatever you can when you can even if its like $40 after 8 months and $20 6 months after cuz times be rough, or let it build up until you're stressed about owing money to multiple people while still splurging more on yourself???? i just gotta know what others would think is normal for paying someone back

#i just wanna see what others thing about this is cuz i got 2 friends that owe me a bit of money and aren't really doing much about it #one has been owing me for a little over a year now and hasn't sent a thing but is always going out shopping and going out to dinners #parties and clubs too and she's off in mexico rn tho was complaining about owing so much money to people not even 2 weeks go #and another keeps saying he'll give 600 back but is telling his sis that he's getting her some airpod pros when he barely keeps a job #cuz idk if it's just me but i try and send whatever i owe as quickly as possible to a) get it out the way b) not keep the one i owe hanging #cuz the last time she owed one friend she got upset when that friend asked her to send some money back and ranted bout it #like don't get me wrong if you say you can't send anything until pay day i get it but pushing it off for years just doesn't seem the best
