I have a big brained idea for Pixar Princesses basically they're counterparts for the Disney Princesses except they're slang for my OCs
Tw for Toxic Relationship//Abuse Undertones, serial killing, manipulation
Name: Aria Conelli
Movie: The Incredibles
Age: 20s/30s
Core Trait: Discernment
Backstory: The childhood best friend of Buddy Pines. She didn't have powers and often made her own inventions alongside with him. The two got along really well, until the Pines moved away to avoid shame after Buddy's reckless actions nearly gets her and him killed. Following the super ban there was a sharp rise in crime at her neighborhood. For several years she spent nights as a vigilante using inventions to fight off robbers and stalkers. However she gave it up after too many close calls with the police and Agency. She was hesitant to retire but aware she would be in some deep shit if she was caught. Sometime after college she was given a job offer to work on a tech start up located on a secluded island. She declined the invitation multiple times, but a private visit from Mirage convinces her to try out for the job.
At first Aria is intrigued by her potential new work environment. Even more she has no odea who her boss may be. A couple days later she was invited to a private dinner hosted by her boss the mysterious Syndrome. A part of her thought he looked familiar but she waved it off. Very soon she uncovers a few disturbing truths about the island, especially with the occasional Super stopping by one day and disappearing the next. Fed up with the constant secrecy she finds a way out the compound and stumbles upon a closed room. Curious she unlocks the door and has to bite back a scream as she finds the bodies of several Supers inside. Realizing the danger she's in she flees into tbe jungle. There she comes across two living Supers who looked way too young to be there: Violet and Dash. Aria tells them that her boss is cooking up something bad. She helps them find their parents. When they do Aria is told the truth and Mr. Incredible recognizes her. He informs her that her boss is in fact Buddy. Aria is confused. Her best friend? Syndrome arrives and captures the family but leaves Aria alone. He confirms that he is Buddy. He wanted her to see his accomplishments. That the both of them are better heroes than all the arrogant Supers of old. Aria is heartbroken by what became of her best friend, pointing out that his schemes have only made him more miserable and could even get himself killed. Angry, Syndrome has his guards locks her up in his quarters.
Aria sits in her room thinking about what transpired. By luck would have it she discovers she had a smaller invention on her that helps her break out. Once she does she regroups with the Parrs and hatch a plan to stop Buddy once and for all. Hitching a ride with help from Mirage they got to the city snd battle the robot. Aria helps evacuate any civilian she could find. The harsh battle seemed to last years but it was only in minutes as the Incredibles and Frozone finally take the metal behemoth down.
At the end Aria bids the family goodbye with the intent to find the loved ones of the Supers Syndrome has killed. She hopes to make amends, admitting that she feels guilty for not doing enough to bring her friend back from the darkness. Bob reassures her that there's no bad blood between them and sees her off.
This is the one oc x canon of mine that's a truly toxic relationship. Buddy/Syndrome is incredibly manipulative. He hides secrets from Aria and expects her to fall in line with everything he says and do. Even if it goes against her moral code. It's even implied he feels jealous of her skills and doesn't want her to outshine him. Buddy hopes to complete his dreams of being a Superhero by placing her as a damsel in distress. However he ignores her actual NEEDS. In the end his arrogant delusions lead to his downfall and Aria is left to pick up the pieces of what COULD have been.
