400m scandal unfolds at BBS Terefayina, CEO, 7workers suspended
The station is engrossed in missing cash, un-paid workers and senior administrator under investigation
Mengo: Buganda Broadcasting services [BBS] is engrossed in over 400m financial scandal which has forced its board to send its CEO Joseph Kigozi on a forced leave to allow investigations into the disappearance of the stations advertising revenues.
According to a very reliable source at BBS TV in Bulange Mengo that prefers anonymity the station workers have gone two months without pay over this financial mishap.
The Buganda one year old TV station’s management is currently conducting an investigation into the financial discrepancies and has appointed Auditors to do a forensic audit to find out exactly how much money is missing and who are the culprits.
From the SpearTip at Bulange, we can ably reveal that the station board has on top of sending Kigozi on leave 7 senior management officials Jackson Bikangaga and Bernadette Acago, Doreen and Bogere, from sales department have among others been fired.
Kigozi, the former PR at NBS Television, left the country shortly after his suspension and according to PMLdaily news he is now in Edmonton, Canada, with all his family members as the situation cools.
Effort to get a comment from Buganda’s spokesperson by the SpearNews turned futile as he couldn’t pick all our calls.
