thinking about how the one time eliot masterminds something, it's because the circumstances are dire and we don't actually see it happen; how he says he plays chess and nate believes him but we don't ever see it or hear about it again; how we don't even see his most basic fighting skills until they're needed and he has to drop the cerebral and nonthreatening grift he was using in front of the team. and I don't know what to think except that in some ways he's just as secretive as parker is, we just don't see it because on top of that he's this very believable gruff-but-sorta-amiable person who meets up with his vet buddies and goes on dates and cooks for his team.

discovering this Saturn over my life
SATURN IN MY 7TH HOUSE
Relationships require give and take of equals. The truth be known, Saturn in the Seventh denizens secretly measure people as better than or worse than them. The Saturn in the Seventh person is leery of partnerships because these folks take on a great deal of the labor of the relationship, physical, emotional or both
MY CAPRICORN IS IN SATURN
Capricorn Saturn's challenge is to learn to deal effectively with authority, status and power. They need financial security and self-sufficiency to give them a solid base for them to succeed.
MY MOON SQUARE IS IN SATURN
Moon square or opposition Saturn grows up quickly, therefore deep inside Saturn’s armour is a very soft-centred, needy child. The subject is loathed to show this very fragile side of their character, so most of the time they appear very strong, capable and most of all independent. The suppressed needs will very often come out as incapacitating illness or depression, that way they get the care they feel they don’t deserve to ask for.
MY MERCURY CONJUNCT IS IN SATURN
Mercury conjunct Saturn in the natal chart gives a well structured and disciplined mind. You love applying yourself to mentally challenging tasks and may in fact need this to keep your mind occupied on productive work. The major difficulty with this aspect is a tendency to get in a rut, dwelling on negatives when your mind is left unchallenged, or idle.
If negative thinking does take hold then this becomes the structured and persevering though pattern. Low moods and depression and then possible. You may also have to deal with self-destructive behaviors such as addiction. Other negative Saturn influences on your thinking can include pessimism and fear. Your words may become abrupt, critical and mean.
VENUS CONJUNCT SATURN
I call this one the struggle to love. Saturn–Venus connections are notorious for creating roadblocks in someone's romantic life, and though that's often true, this combination can also lead to lasting partnerships, while also conferring a much deeper understanding of love than most will ever know.
I sometimes call this pairing the "ugly duckling" aspect, because of how it affects a person's experience of their own beauty over time. Venus has much to do with personal charm: How refined and ingratiating are you when dealing with others? How alluring do you appear to the world? The answers to these questions hinge to a great degree on the condition of your Venus. When Saturn is involved with Venus, it can therefore make people with this pairing feel gawky or insecure about their attractiveness early on, even to the point of feeling ugly or coarse (especially in the case of the hard aspects). Though they sometimes present an aloof front to the world, inwardly they may be feeling like an outcast, someone who has been "left out."
But as these individuals mature and learn to break out from their shell, they become far more comfortable in their own skin, and others start seeing them differently, too. Think here of Eliza Doolittle in My Fair Lady and the work that went into making her a "proper" lady.
When it comes to money, the late-bloomer side of Saturn–Venus can manifest as the "rags to riches" syndrome, where a person goes from relative scarcity to considerable affluence later in life. Look at some of the economic heavy-hitters with a strong pairing of Saturn and Venus: Bill Gates (conjunction), Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com (conjunction), and Oprah Winfrey (square), to name just three.
Venus also plays a part in creativity, so when paired with Saturn this sometimes makes for a slow-unfolding dynamic in someone's artistic development. Famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright had a tight opposition between Saturn and Venus, and in addition to his notoriously checkered Saturn, love life, by many accounts he experienced the most fruitful phase of his career between the ages of 70 and 90.
SATURN SEXTILE PLUTO
You should have the ability to organize, control and focus your will-power effectively in order to achieve your ambitions. Success is important to you, materially and psychologically; and you will try very hard to become an achiever in whichever sphere of life you choose. Some degree of frustration is inevitable, but you tend to believe that with perseverance and a realistic self-appraisal you are capable of success - eventually. You believe that experience is the best teacher, and that a sign of intelligence is to make full use of that experience for the purposes of growth; and that involves learning and understanding life's lessons as soon as possible, to avoid unnecessary painful repetition.
SATURN CONJUNCT NEPTUNE
A Saturn-Neptune type may often find their dreams challenged, criticized and harshly received. However, art, music, drama or some other Neptunian pursuit can be made into something real. Long-held dreams are accomplished after much hard work and the individual realizes that it wasn’t all just a serious illusion.
