albedo.

albedo goes by many titles; the kreideprinz, chief alchemist, captain of the knights of favonius investigation team, genius - yet none of them matter to him, for all he cares about is unravelling the secrets of teyvat as if assembling a puzzle designed from the mysteries of the stars. however, one name never fails to tug at his heartstrings, and that is the moniker of 'your boyfriend'. it's something so simple, but whenever you refer to him as such, it always gets his heart beating much faster than it should be.

although albedo may be labelled a genius, he is extremely dense in terms of love. he's trying his best, but unfortunately he is rather inexperienced with maintaining relationships, as he has always regarded them as troublesome and useless - after all, he has the elements at his disposal to experiment with, why should he worry about people? yet with you, things are different, he wants to talk to you, to spend time with you, and so albedo always tries to initiate conversations and physical contact that you're comfortable with, but he sometimes doesn't notice when you do the same to him.

"hey, albedo?" "hm?" he doesn't look up from the parchments spread across his desk in messy heaps. "if you were a fruit, you would be a fine-apple!" you say excitedly. "i don't think that kind of fruit exists," albedo replies absently, tapping his index finger against his lips as he picks up a book. you sigh, leaning back in the chair at his desk that you were spinning around in. "i may not have a kamera," you begin again, hoping this time the pick-up line doesn't fly over his head, "but i can picture us together!" even you had to admit that one didn't really make sense, considering the two of you were already dating, but it was better than nothing. "i think you can get a kamera from fontaine if you like," albedo says, slotting the book back in its place on the shelf.

groaning, you stand up and move towards him before cupping his cheeks and pulling his face towards you for a kiss, "you know, for someone who's supposed to be super smart, you are pretty clueless sometimes." albedo's teal eyes widen in surprise, and his mind flashes back to those strange lines you were spouting off minutes ago, "are you flirting with me?" you lean your forehead against his and giggle, "oh, you finally noticed?" your boyfriend could slap himself for being so foolish, but according to your peals of laughter, thankfully you aren't too mad at him.

all the same, albedo still tilts your face up to capture your lips in another kiss, and as his hands hook around your waist, pulling you close and starting to slide under your shirt, he whispers into your ear, "let me make it up to you."
