Brace Yourselves, Here are the Top Maharashtrian Saree Styles I'm Currently Crushing on this 2025
Tumblr media
I'll be honest—there’s something special and nostalgic about Maharashtrian sarees. They’ve got that classic saree elegance mixed with modern sass that makes them impossible to resist.
As 2025 has settled in, I've been drooling over some fabulous Maharashtra saree styles that beautifully blend tradition with trendy twists. Here's a fun peek into the top styles I'm totally crushing on right now, thanks to my favorite saree heaven, Mavuri.
1. For some  Timelessly Glam pick a Paithani Sarees
Paithanis are basically royalty in saree form. Think vibrant silk, intricate zari work, and iconic peacock motifs that shimmer with every move. This year, Mavuri took things up a notch with dazzling purples, deep emerald greens, and royal blues—perfect if you want to channel your inner Maharashtrian queen.
2. Nauvari Sarees: The Definition of Classic, but Make It Comfy
Nine-yard sarees sound intimidating, right?
Not anymore! Mavuri's 2025 Nauvari collection has made this traditional drape fun and easy to wear, thanks to lighter fabrics and smaller motifs that look effortlessly stylish. They’ve nailed some bold new color combinations like mustard-and-purple and coral-and-emerald. Trust me, it’s time to ditch draping disasters and embrace easy elegance!
3. Karvath Border Sarees That Make a Statement
If you love a good statement piece, the Karvath border sarees from Mavuri are your next BFF. Those striking zigzag borders coupled with minimalist designs create a chic balance. The range of pastels and rich jewel tones means there's literally something stunning for everyone. It's like wearable art, everyone's got their eyes on you!
4. Understated Elegance for Days with Puneri Style Sarees
I always thought that Puneri sarees have a subtle charm, and in 2025 we see them getting a chic update. Mavuri added delicate sequin touches and modern color blocking, perfect for those times when you want to look classy without going overboard. You cant go wrong with the less is more approach!
5. Trendy Tradition and Fun Fusion with Maharashtrian Sarees
Fusion sarees are the 2025 trend we didn’t know we needed but now can’t live without.
The collection at Mavuri cleverly brings together traditional Maharashtrian weaving with edgy, contemporary touches. Think of geometric patterns, metallic details, ombre effects, and unexpected blouse designs. They're fun, fresh, and perfect for modern celebrations.
Honestly, whether you’re attending a traditional wedding or heading to a cool, contemporary bash, Mavuri’s 2025 collection has a saree that matches the occasion to your vibe perfectly.
Each piece respects the state of Maharashtra's rich heritage and at the same time, totally gets what today’s fashion-forward woman wants. A win-win for everyone!
So go ahead, treat yourself—because sarees as stylish as these deserve to be flaunted with pride! See you at Mavuri!

Renaissance Art Installation at International Flights boarding waiting area in Pune International Airport depicting Pune's Culture and Heritage. Windows into the Past From the reverberating sounds of the ‘Tuttari’, the Maratha trumpet that cuts across the silence of the Deccan; where gentleman folk wear the proud ‘Puneri Paghadi’ and the women express their divine charm through the ‘Lavani’ dance. New ideas built on traditional wisdom are expressed through simple yet elegant Warli paintings. The Paithani saree represents the epitome of handwoven Indian textiles, while the rhythmic dance beats of Dhol, played also by women, represent the breaking of old gender stereotypes. The city is a fusion of Maratha, Peshwa, and Mughal architecture. Shaniwar Wada, illustrating brilliance in military architecture, is symbolic of the times of fortitude. Infused with Islamic influence, the Aga Khan Palace is depicted through various motifs and patterns, illustrating the city's rich cultural diversity. Puneri Paltan returned to winning ways with a 31-23 victory over Bengaluru Bulls at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium in Chennai on Wednesday. Manjeet was their leading raider with seven raid points and skipper Surjeet Singh registered another High 5. Both sides traded blows early on but neither managed to get the upper hand even though Puneri Paltan had a slender 6-4 lead after the opening 10 minutes. The final 10 minutes of the first half, too, followed a similar pattern as Bengaluru Bulls stayed within touching distance of Puneri Paltan. Bengaluru Bulls levelled the score at 7-7 courtesy of ‘Hi-Flyer’ Pawan Sehrawat, who became the first player to score 100 raid points this season. The closing stages of the first period witnessed the teams get most of their points in Do-or-Die situations.  Just when it looked like Puneri Paltan were about to take a one-point lead in the break, Sehrawat pulled off a successful raid make it 10-10 at halftime. Puneri Paltan began the second period on the front foot after successful tackles on Sehrawat and Rohit Kumar. A two-point Do-or-Die raid by Manjeet moments later reduced Bengaluru Bulls to two men on the mat. Puneri Paltan then seized the initiative and inflicted the first All-Out on the match on Bengaluru Bulls to take a 19-11 lead, as well as control of the match. The defending champions tried to forge a comeback, but resolute defending and efficient raiding ensured that Puneri Paltan kept the scoreboard ticking over. Where is the Best place to Buy Paithani Sarees in Mumbai?
Tumblr media
Beautiful paithani saree shop in Mumbai can boost your fashion sense. These silky, comfy, and smooth sarees are perfect for special occasions when looking for the correct one. The Puneri original paithani sarees in Mumbai are easily accessible and boast features in self and zari pattern variations as well as every knitted saree for different wearer preferences. Dress up a Marathi paithani silk saree in Mumbai that has an extensive zari border and enigmatic designs, and polish the ensemble with only a pair of chandelier studs as additional jewelry. Due to the age group, we were informed of this practice. However, a paithani dupatta in Mumbai created with fine handiwork can be pricey and challenging to find. The pure paithani sarees in Mumbai are produced by hand or with a knitting needle with such delicacy that the patterns appear to be woven into the fabric.
