I agree I wish people could view things with more neutrality because it would greatly improve the type of gameplay that we see but It feels sometimes like the fandom has these unrealistic borderline double standard expectations for how houseguests should act. There is so much negativity and hate around things like players getting frustrated if someone is making a move that will negatively impact them, or crying when someone they like gets voted out, or venting and shit talking other houseguests who are getting on their nerves. There is anger if players make up lies about their faves but also anger if people in the house get mad about people lying because lying is part of the game. I could go on but I won’t bore you any further lol. but the fandom who isn’t even competing couldn’t stop doing any of those things if their life depended on it so it’s like why then do those same people insist that the ones actually playing the high stress game for a life changing amount of money should are bad and wrong and silly for being emotional when things aren’t going their way.

I am answering this now bc i still think its kinda relevant especially when it comes to how people talk about Cirie or Cory’s game recently.

You can’t appreciate or criticize how either of them play without someone trying to bash them or misinterpreting how they’re playing for the sake of wanting to feel valid for disliking them.

I really like Cirie and Cory as players and people but I’m not gonna act like they’re flawless in every way or that their strategies don’t have issues. They for sure do, Cory’s been cracking a lot recently especially with Jared treating him the way he has. And Cirie and Izzy spiral every hour and change plans constantly, its a disaster in there LMAO

But they’re also just trying to play the game and their moves don’t need to be over analyzed with some deeper motivation behind it bc they’re going after someone or they aren’t working with someone you personally favor.

Full disclosure though, you’re allowed to dislike any houseguest for any reason. It doesn’t have to be this essay of reasons or you searching for evidence so you feel valid about it. That’s kinda the problem with ppl here and on twitter, they wanna feel validated for not vibing with a houseguest so they constantly misinterpret things that arent that big a deal and want ppl to agree with them. And its kinda not necessary imo.

I think we’re just so used to disliking a majority of the hgs that people don’t know what to do with a cast that’s messy all around as people and players but are overall decent (cameron, red, and jared suck tho lemme be clear they are not part of what im talking about), so some people wanna just hate so they reach to the most extremes because that’s what we’ve come to expect. But humans don’t work in such a good or bad way, and i think this season is a reminder that people are messy and complex but aren’t bad.

It’s hard for players to truly play BB and it’s hard as a viewer to talk about gameplay bc of this “this or that” lense ppl watch the game through.

How does one go about getting tested for MCAS...

#still trying to see a geneticist about EDS #and now because of long covid conversations talking about MCAS im realizing that may be a relevant problem to me as well #from BEFORE I got COVID #ive had idiopathic anaphylaxis episodes in the past but its been a few years since i had one #so idk if that rules that out #but i do have seemingly ever-changing food allergies/reactions too #like i went a whole year without eating red meat because everytime i ate it i had food poisoning symptoms after for a day or so #and have had constant gastro problems with seemingly random triggers since i was a teenager #also year round allergies #to what? idk #but i live my life sniffling with my ears and throat and skin itching all the time #and heat intolerance #and being seemingly allergic to my own sweat #idk it feels like im looking for reasons for it to be that because imposter syndrome but also with the pots dx #and then my rheum sending me for genetic testing for EDS cuz my labs show i have an autoimmune disease but no positive for anything specific #has me side eyeing in the direction of MCAS because i know how those issues all love to show up in a three for one bundle #ig ill wait and see how the genetic testing goes #cuz idk where to even begin for possible MCAS #and now having long covid too i feel like anything possibly related to that will get shrugged off #because doctors HATE long covid and things that are possibly related to long covid

Im soooo tired and sore from being the hottest person in the room

#i went out with makeup for the first time today 😋#it was a very extreme one green teal eye and one red eye with like. the red eye has a white eyebrow and the teal had a black eyebrow #and the eyeliner served. my wings were smokey and great. and i made em kinda follow my eyebag a lil which looks soo good #and i made my eyebrows kinda dip into the sides of my nose which. ofc. served #i got so many compliments 😋 ppl kept asking where i got it done and i got to say with such pride i did it myself #however now that im home i realized far too late i didnt take ibuprofen to prepare for my adventure so im. houh. sore #but! aside from the regret of Oh God i still have so much glitter on my face that is impossible to get off. i had fun #i served at karaoke

I'm actually obsessed with this tiny little detail actually. Soma's visible eye is always showing the expression people NEED/WANT to see, whereas his hidden eye (which is very interestingly right under the crescent moon symbol in his hair) is always showing his REAL feelings

i went through a magazines archive of (monthly) issues this year -- common hobby of mine -- and the same writer was in at least 5 issues and i'm just like....sorry that is weird to me! not the being published by the same mag multiple times part but to be in nearly half of a magazine's year of issues is so??? do you as an editor not want some variety in the people you publish lol

#idk i just think that many in a small space of time at some point you have to be like hey we should give space for someone else #honestly...as someone with not a lot of pubs its offputting to me because i don't see an intention on the magazine's side #to make sure they're publishing a variety of voices + taking the chance to uplift new writers #i absolutely agree with mags that have a 'cool off' period for writers they publish before they can submit again #to give space for others + some variety #even magazines who don't like....do you not feel weird submitting so soon after??#like i would have a self imposed cool off period #the two mags that accepted me this year i absolutely love and would submit to again #one has a cooldown period but i won't submit to them again unless i have something i rly feel would suit there #one doesn't and its a mag that publishes one story at a time so its great for a writer to have a moment where all the eyes are on them #so i would rather enjoy my moment when it comes and then sit back for a while so others can have it you know #anyway i looked at their 2022 archive and the same writer was there multiple times too #that's suspicious. that's weird. and bare in mind each issue is like 9 stories #to so frequently give one of those 9 spaces to the same writer for whatever reason is a litmag red flag FOR ME
