also it's incredibly difficult to talk about the plants because we know so little about the plants - I would love to know what environment a dependent would thrive in. I have written fic about individual dependents theorizing what their experiences are like. but Nightow himself glosses over their individual personhood so much that it's difficult to tell if it even EXISTS

#trigun #obv they have individual memories but do they talk to each other?#do they share information?#they resonate with one another and share overall emotions it seems but how deep does that go when they are not in physical contact?#I have so so so many questions about dependents and plants in general because they fascinate me #actually my favorite characters in trigun #related: tristamp being like “they don't have souls” is such shit. I hope that's fake.#but overall nightow treats them as an allegory more than a proper species and it's maddening
