I HAVE NOW SEEN BOTH MOVIE ADAPTIONS OF TSP.....i have many many thoughts. i also feel very very inspired which i did not expect from seeing the 1934 version.
#// ooc#it was a rough night folks#i've been up since 4am#horrible night buuut#i watched the 1934 tsp and boy was that fun#there are aspects of the characterization i looooved about this movie#but i looooove chauchau MUCH better here#he's much more my chauchau#i love ian but massey was brilliant#massey managed to be devilish but mildly charming and almost romantic without the forced upon romance the 80s one had#he had that je ne sais quoi#i prefer andrew's take on percy but i gotta say howard make the fop persona believable#andrews is a bit much while howard's was JUST believable#however#andrews is STILL my fave because he just has that CHARM about him that i love so much#as for the darling of my heart#i adore jane's take on margot and will have a special place but MY GOD Oberon was just IT#THAT WAS MY MARGOT#that i read in the books#she's sharp but just has these moment of childlike whimsy and just the perfect margot#i adored her#but obviously the BEST SP is still Douglas Si/lls#HE MAKES ME FEEL THINGS#GIRLISH DAMSEL THINGS THAT MAKE ME WANNA BELIEVE IN LOVE
