this is a small dumb thing but we put our taskbar on the side of the screen (instead of the bottom) and it's unbelievable how much bigger our screen feels now. like. on a simple factual level the screen is wider than it is tall, so the taskbar is occupying fewer pixels now (same width, shorter length) but yeah. anyway.

#we put our taskbar on the side of the screen at work because there's a particular screenshot we need to get frequently #and with the taskbar at the bottom we need to f11 fullscreen the program it comes from but with taskbar at the side we don't need to #but we just now did it on the home computer #should we tag this linux? we use linux mint but like.
