Day 15 of 365 Happy long weekend. As we gear up for a winter storm staying in for a low key weekend. We are enjoying some cognac by the fireplace… of course the husband is glued to TV watching football 😂🤦🏽‍♀️ and I am working on blog content. I know the eye cream was a meh for me but one of the other new products @augustinusbader came out with last year was a hair oil. Now here is a product I really really like. This oil comes with TCF8 and is infused with vitamins and amino acids. It helps in conditioning, nourishing, and lessen breakage and protects hair against damage (heat and environmental). Directions say to apply 1-3 drops from mid length to end. I will say a little goes a long way and since I have shoulder length hair I go with one maybe 2 drops max. It is lightweight absorbs well and detangles without leaving the hair greasy. I am seeing some reduction in breakage(nothing significant yet) plus my hair is shinier and soft. I have used it on damp hair and on dry hair as well. Little disclaimer: I haven’t used heat styling products for a while so can’t say much about the protection from heat styling. Recently I talked about niacinamide and it’s benefits. There are so many benefits like brightening, fighting uneven skin tone, & reducing dark spots. We talked about serums last today I bring to you @goodmolecules Niacinamide Brightening Toner. Toner is step 2 or 3 (if double cleansing) in the cleansing process. I have heard so much about products from the this brand and finally got a chance to try it out. I am taking about @obagimedical . They have been in the skincare game since 1988 and there products. Their products help in fighting premature skin aging, hyperpigmentation, acne, skin and sub damage. My initiation to @obagimedical was the Foaming Cleaner by Susan Obagi M.D. It’s noted to be good for all skin types (I have combination skin). It can be used for both AM/PM skin. I used 2 pumps as directed and gently massaged it on my skin and neck, rinsing it off with warm water. It cleansed my skin well without leaving it feeling dry for no makeup days. When I used it with makeup on my skin it didn’t take off all my makeup which was disappointing. It was not heavy makeup day either and I had to wash it again. I tried it again as a step 2 in a double cleanse and it worked just fine. I am waiting to see how it does in the winter months when my skin is a bit on the drier side. I have used other cleansers that cleanse really well …..whether it is drug store or similar price points. So, I am not sure about this one. You can try for yourself. I’m always on the look out for new and effective eye creams. I have my favs I keep circling back to (pun totally intended 😂). With late nights and too much of life happening the dark circles and tired eyes are like the guests that have overstayed their welcome 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. To combat them I tried out the @somaayurvedic Under Eye Gel. I have tried their Vitamin C serum and loved it so was looking forward to trying the eye gel. It is plant based with ingredients like lavender, Moringa and avocado among others. They claim it helps with dark circles, fights wrinkles and signs of anti aging. I used it both in the AM and PM. By applying a small amount on the under eye area and here is what happened…. Its cooling, refreshing, went on smooth, absorbed well and brightened my under eye area a bit. It also helped de puff my under eye area. Lately I have taken my eye routine to the next level by using @dieuxskin forever eye mask and cold ice globes or cold jade roller. My only con for the eye cream is the price. It is expensive.
