They are enemies yes, though very imbalanced. Chihaya is the whole world to Siho while Siho is just a small criminal in Chihaya’s far more dangerous target list

Despite that it’s still fight on sight more so because Chihaya likes bullying Siho cause they know he’s not used to a ”challenge” lmao

Siho wants to kill Chihaya while Chihaya doesn’t. However Renzhi, Siho’s boss, often prevents the general’s too soon demise

Siho has an almost uncanny good sense of smell, enough to identify even Chihaya’s scent/moods

Definitely has had to work together a few times so they can fight in peace or if Siho wants to slip away (and Chihaya isn’t up for jail paperwork lol)

They’re familiar enemies: Chihaya has seen a quiet side of Siho while Siho has seen many of Chihaya’s insecurities. Remarkably, they keep these secrets from outsiders

Siho is definitely Chihaya’s type. Strong, grumpy man who could be fixed with some sunshine. Chihaya also admires the guy as a worthy opponent and recognizes his sharp mind that few can see

Siho recognizes when Chihaya is playfully trying to flirt and sorta both hates it and also lets it go to his ego. There’s a sense of pride in having the general like him in some forbidden attraction

Although Siho won’t do anything to initiate or reciprocate flirtations. He merely threatens Chihaya for having a soft heart and reminds them he could take advantage of that easily

Despite that… deep down Siho knows if their situation was different, he could see himself nabbing Chihaya as his. He already is too in tune with their presence and could be a bit possessive of his “enemy”. He even feels bad when Chihaya feels bad and is protective during shared moments of weakness. Due to this he self checks himself not to go too far with it. Plus he could put his job on the line as he’s competing with Renzhi…

Chihaya is also aware of how much they’ve whittled closer to Siho’s core. They hold out an impossible hope that when all this is over, they could ask Siho to consider them. But! They also expect rejection or death, so they’re keeping an open mind to other fish when it comes to their love life

WRITING EXERCISE: RELATIONSHIP LYRIC PROMPTS

The weeping was too much for Minseo to bear. 

Blood was everywhere. Red seeping through the tiles and between the cracks of her shoes while a body lay still in the corner. Seeing her breakdown with the thought of her life becoming nothing but short of successful, Siho couldn’t hold the weight in her shoulders of thinking that this is how she was meant to live. That this is it. A personal crisis with a death always near. 

Minseo approaching with all the caution she had, Siho sat mindlessly against the wall with the sniper in her hands. The younger only snap away from her gruesome thoughts of the body as she felt gentleness taking away the weapon. Her eyes followed the other’s, it was soft and somehow told her it was okay. That it was okay that it was like this. 

The lump on her throat was swallowed as Minseo wipes away the splatters of blood and trail of tears on her skin. It doesn’t take long before she takes her in her arms, and feeling all the weight transfer as soft sobs were on her chest. The older understood being in situations that were beyond her control, there was no better person to comfort Siho than someone who knew that survival was necessary for a world like their own.

2019 was a big year for Angelico Entertainment. Alongside debuting their biggest female act yet, VENUS, just a year prior, they also struck gold with their first ever in-house boy group: LoveOutLoud, abbreviated to L.O.L for branding purposes. Starting off as a ten-member lineup, L.O.L became an almost instant KPOP darling, still being girl group stans token boy group to stan.

Despite their bright and youthful branding, the inner workings of L.O.L are quite dark as their mistreatment goes back to their pre-debut days. It's rare for there to be an L.O.L comeback without a member sick or injured, as their promotional schedules are grueling and stacked. The members, despite being well into their careers at this point, haven't had a break in nearly four years.

The notorious Angelico CEO, Son Jinhwa, would say there's no time for breaks. Their momentum is still building; if they take a break, they'll be forgotten.

The boys took those words to heart, publicly denouncing the need for breaks between releases and saying they enjoy promoting as much as they do.

Well, almost all of them did.

By the end of 2021, they dropped to seven members, with three of the members leaving on what seemed like a bimonthly basis. First started with Siho leaving in March, citing creative differences and mistreatment but he would not leave Angelico. Instead, he would stay and produce under the label until his contract ran up. Fans speculate the final nail in the coffin for Siho was when other L.O.L member Jesse was given the spot as producer despite Siho being promised the role. Once Siho's contract with Angelico was up, he would become a producer and music video director.

Next to leave was Yadam in August, citing physical exhaustion and contractual disagreements as his reasons. Yadam was a beloved and well-known member of the group for his vocals and visuals, originally holding the spot as the official visual. He would go on to sue Angelico Entertainment for mistreatment, claiming that they did not allow him proper vocal rest, permanently damaging his vocal cords. Though the case made it far, the two parties settled out of court. He would go on to debut as a soloist and actor in 2023 after a much-needed break.

The last member to officially leave L.O.L would be Asher in December of that same year, claiming mental health struggles as his reason for leaving. Asher was one of the more popular members internationally for his bright and out-there personality, which seemed to dim as the years went on. He would return to America the same year and become a thriving social media influencer and actor in the States, having a following of 1.7 million on YouTube, 7.1 million on TikTok, and 5.2 million on Instagram.

Currently, Akio, the seventh member, is on a hiatus because of an ankle injury he obtained in 2023. He has not been an active member with the group for nearly a year now, leaving many fans to worry he will be the next one to drop from the lineup.

The group sits pretty and happy on top of the boy group brand rankings, being some of the most recognizable and beloved faces in the KPOP industry at the moment, but are they really as bright and happy as they seem?

i will probably die a poetic death. this is what i keep telling myself, whenever i'm walking back home to my apartment and the skies have grayed enough for me to feel depressed. actually, this is what i tell myself even when the sun is shining bright to welcome the new day, when there's flowers falling swiftly from the trees down to the road, when it's drizzling, when it's snowing... there is always this thought that i will probably die a poetic death. as if it's a life mission? as if it was inevitable.

and today, it's happening. it actually really is. it really, finally is. how beautiful.

it wasn't easy to describe how siho was feeling at this moment. ha siho, always operating from a distance, following orders, now about to execute her target that happens to be just a meter away from her, who also happens to be the constant root of her commissions. ha juho.

the man that continued the ever few generations of their organization. the man that made sure every agent who falls into the hands of greed would face consequences regardless of reason. the man who made sure every person involved in the assassination of sol sihwan, his beloved wife, was executed in the most excruciating way possible. ha juho, who made sure to protect siho from all things evil.

siho straightened her posture once more, the suppressor on her pistol directly positioned on her father's forehead, who, before siho, was on his knees with his hands raised as surrender. just like siho, his face was stoic as ever. lips in a straight line, cheeks swollen from the years he's served, eyes refusing to share a little story.

"why.. why did you have to do this?" siho finally choked out, a tear falling down her cheek as she stared at her father's face, as if staring at him enough would dig the answers to her questions. the most blank stare. it was taking a lot of energy to keep her hands from trembling, wanting to treat this as any regular commission, not to be swayed by her emotions. yet, she is losing to her own self. "this- you could have just-" as she struggled on her words like a child, the man adjusted the gun she was holding on his forehead, closing his eyes afterwards. this time, her tears started streaming. she couldn't help but sob, finding the need to hold onto the gun with both hands. quietly, he told her, "it's time, child." she couldn't believe it. she didn't want to.

it hasn't even been a long time ever since he made sure she had bodyguards stalking her a few meters away from school, the same men wasting their time running after her as she tried to escape their sight, despite knowing it would forever be impossible. her head started to hurt, it felt as if all the memories they've spent together on earth had compiled into a 5 second flashback, siho's brows knitting themselves in frustration as she suffered to be in the position she was in; yet he remained stoic, kneeling down on the floor, with closed eyes, breathing steady. he looked peaceful. she wished, after this, he would feel angry at her, so he would visit her dreams often.

within seconds, ha juho was laying on his back on the ground, hole in the face, a faint smile seen on his lips. he was gone. her father was really gone. she took him out. on the other end, siho's arms limply dropped the gun. it was as if she was seeing a dead person for the first time. few splashes of his blood splat all over her face and arms, while her own skin tone flushed pale, as if the light from her own body was about to be taken away. slowly, she took a step back, not taking her eyes away from him. she felt as if her whole body was on fire, and there was nothing she could do about it. she was being burned alive, and even if there happened to be help available, she wouldn't take it. at this moment, she wanted to die.

"...father?" she knew she wouldn't answer. she was feeling ridiculous. she dropped to the ground and had her hand on his stomach, like she used to do whenever he found him drunk and she needed to get an insane amount of money for spending with her friends. she chuckled, knowing her father would never say no to her anymore. he wouldn't answer to her anymore. he wouldn't be meddling with her business anymore. he wouldn't be trying to control every aspect of her life anymore, and yet she will miss him. she already does, and it takes a lot of strength to pull herself up, away from him. she remembers what he told her a few hours ago, "they're watching, closely."

"the next few months, they really better be." she mutters. she was laughing to herself now. "i hope you keep watching. i really, really hope you fucking do." the rage she had expressed not enough to give an insight on how much it truly weighed.

she crouched down to take off the silver scorpion pendant necklace from her now deceased father, clutching it closely with her right fist before giving him one last stare down, the tears never stopping, her face now a mixture of blood and tears, the constant patting of the back of her hand against her cheeks not doing much difference. after a while, she gives the back of his hand a kiss, before walking away along with her pistol, shoving it down her blazer's jacket along with her father's necklace.

she doesn't know how long she would last living after this, all she knows is that nothing would help lift the pain from her heart. hopefully, the world burns as soon as possible.
